  1. woo hoo! we made it to the match. 1st one in 18-24 months. it was nice to be out there. great to get watch my wonderfully wicked wife shoot. before today she only had 3 shots this year for mole 3 kills. it was odd to be the new guys and only knowing 2 people. I guess that was a good thing, my shooting was god awful. never could find the red dot and when I did the damn thing would never stay still.  any way had a great time and hope to do much more. big thanks to my NTPS and your squad.
  2. hope to make it, do u still shoot twice a day?
  3. thanks, but over the last 14-18 months I have been losing the battle, but not giving up yet
  4. very nice turn out, I was really hoping I could make it had mags loaded and all the gear was ready. I just could not get going sunday morning. I have not given up yet.
  5. WOW, I can say I have never seen anything like that before. per Mr Carver on glock's if the slide take down lever is worn or has weak spring it will cause accuracy issues.
  6. the blue shirt is from I could still walk before I got hurt only thought I was fat. now I am really fat. the red updated shirt we only got once or twice. did shoot at all last year hoping to fix that this year. its easier on the wife to change my shirt in bed, so that's why I am my hospital bed.
  7. I have not had night sights in several years, but all the ones I had, use the gas filled tubes with 10 years life span
  8. true but first don't they have to legal in the states u travel thru also?   I know up till a few years ago, in Bama about the only that was illegal to be in the state was a SBR. but that has since been fixed.
  9. no, my left hand is weaker and has less dexterity. trying to stick with the M & P since that's all I have shot for the last 5-7 years and we have about 8 of them.
  10. I tried it from a rest, embarrassing took up the Pre travel then for the first 5 shots it was hard to break the trigger. then on the last 5 I got it right. there 11 holes in cardboard. the one hi at 12 was a old one. once I settle down and got 2 shots together I lower the rear sight.
  11. I have not shooting the pistols from a rest, its a good idea. but I no longer have the 4.5# trigger, got down to 2# pounds and no issues. not steady but much better.   Spiffy the full size had the APEX comp springs in it so would be able shoot it. when I sent off the upper for the quad porting I (with help) put in the FSS trigger and sear, but did not use the FSS springs. caused lots of problems. no matter how I adjusted the trigger bar at best 5 rounds before a flat trigger. when put the FSS springs in I could dry fire okay but heavy. live fire I could not hit my 8" plates at 20 yards. I believe it's a mental issue, just do not understand why. as someone stated there should be no real difference between dry and live fire.  my carry gun that's stays on my wheel chair is just short of a full blown comp set up, I shake some but not too bad.   thanks all
  12. thanks again guys, this stuff is just aggravating and upsetting. I have to relearn everything.

will do, now that I have the trigger the way I want it. also I do not notice the ports in day light. it seems to shoot fine with the 13# spring and factory loads, but the 147 gamer loads are just clearing the spent brass by inches. need to order just a standard guide rod with a 13# spring
  14. the injury is not weapons related, except at some point they disarmed me and only gave my wife my holster, gun and mag. my guard dog bullets where missing. and I do have snap caps.
  15. thank you, all I broke my neck at C5 C6 & C7. I no longer have the 44, could not even pick it up. no longer in PT, but can only open a 20 oz soda with my teeth and both hands. its really just shooting hand guns. I now only use AR style rifles as I can move my head and neck into a correct position to see thru a scope.    with triggers less than 3-4# the shaking is not so bad.
  16. just wondering about your idea's. as some of you know i got hurt about 2.5 years ago. up to that point, believe it would be safe to say i have pulled the trigger close to 100K times. when u could get 9mm blazer for 1k for $86 out the door we would panic if we got down to 5k rounds. no big deal for us to shoot 1000 rounds a weekend. i hunted with a 44 mag redhawk for years. if u seen my other post i was upset over the FSS 4.5# trigger. i can dry fire fine but once its loaded with that 4.5 trigger my hands are shaking and trying as hard as i can to pull the trigger.   for what its worth i am not strong enough to even dry fire a lot of guns off the shelf. any idea's why i can dry fire okay, but not a loaded one. sorry for the long story   just because i may have shot a lot does not mean i was any good. :)

i finally found my trigger pull gage, the FSS on the full size was at 4.5# got it to 2# and kept the pre travel. she is running great. all our other M & P Burwell trigger jobs.

just talked to APEX a few minutes ago. if we understood each other, I can not adjust the trigger bar for pre travel, the pivot point on FSS trigger fix the pre travel and must use the heavy sear spring, but may be able the light trigger return spring. just a note, I am super picky on my triggers.   on a different note I also tried the large palm swell and a 13# recoil spring and its running and happy with recoil.

I do agree with u. and after seeing there little "bit" I was very disappointed. and yes I asked them to go against there policy on # of ports, it should been done right. but since I got them back I have been battling the FSS I put in the full size. I just got it running 100% but not happy with the pretravel and the trigger pull weight. I think I like it the it was better before the FSS. the 4# trigger seems very heavy to me. I think u understand why. and will give them a call tomorrow. just need to unwind some for the rest of the day.   I hope this does not sound rude, its not meant too.

i am very happy with the way pro shoots, i was worried about the small ports, it has a 13# spring. the full size with quad ports still working on the best spring set up for it. it running a 15# spring right now but needs a 13# spring for gamer loads. its not as soft as thinking it would be, but still nice.   i will be doing more work on the full size and 1 or both will have a red dot.   some people my think that the porting is blinding but to me its no issue. many, many moons ago my first plastic gun was a G21C and at night the factory ports would have a flame that would be V shaped with tips rolling inward to make a heart like shape.
  22. I had 2 of my M & P's mag-a-ported the Pro got 6 ports and the full size was quad ported. they did pro for free because they got one of the ports off or out of line from the others
  23. so what happened? or how did u do it. and be careful. :)
  24. its rained here some everyday, and yes Sundays weather looks good, me and this chair together weigh over 500# on small wheels so I will hope u do this match again. we love idea
  25. could u let me know how muddy the bays are a few days out? thanks
