  1. most if all not mine do this, I just use a box cutter and trim a little of the grip in that area. to me no big deal, after all its over molded.
  2. I had mine for a few years now, it came in just fine. I guess some changes were made after Mr. Noveske pass away. :(
  3. if you looking for low price shotgun just to try the sport. why not a basic pump. have not price one years but I am sure u can get a nova, mossy or Remington new for under $400.  just be sure it got screw in chokes. as you may want a little more choke for trap. I shot sporting clays years ago with a mossy 500
  4. how about this, on another forum a guy was selling his new 24" for 975, 925, 875 it sold at $850. he just kept on dropping the price every day. I would have love some of that action.   I will at some point be doing clays also.   BUT I really like that clamp, who makes it?
  5. Robert, after you get your knees healed up. no more short cuts thru walls and barrels. no more sliding/diving into the shooting position. no more of the red stuff running down your leg. :) take care and it was good to see you at the Pro/Am.
  6. for what its worth not all clubs use TGO, in both TN and KY plus the lower states like Bama.
  7. love KNS, I always put them on. needed or not I like the way they look on the AR.
  8. no issue's so far
  9. to me you get what you pay for on AR triggers. a good 2 stage 1st stage weight is a pound or less. so I would good with a single stage. you can have a very good 3-4 pound trigger without weaker springs.   ask the subject matter expert.
  10. we hope to be there
  11. did know not it had been posted before, seen it for the time last night when the 10 year old granddaughter showed it to us. we thought it was funny and nothing wrong with it for her. regular TV gets much worst and as far as we think anyway.
  12. woo hoo I got it to work
  13.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE&feature=player_embedded
  14. I shot one in 223 at distance year's ago with a bipod and scope. very nice, but make a small mistake on the trigger and you ready throw that shot. the wife use a borrowed one in a wildcat 30. cal in NRA silhouette (informal) using a rifle scope. and she did well with it.
  15. just finished some minor trigger work, breaking at 3.75# and still crisp. no light strikes. :)
  16. well I can say I have never seen it. but here on TGO in this section some time back. he stated he had a purple R & R racing saiga. and about what he spent on it. the last time I was at that club was a shotgun only, one of several,  the was match 3 weeks before I got hurt I, it was not there. I have not been back.
  17. yes I agree, the whole reason of the pig was to increase pressure for short barrels. and its a lot like a suppressor because the noise all goes forward and its friendly to the shooter, noise friendly. I still have my pig and its now on my 15-22, the wife does have her 15-22 suppressed and the pig splits the difference between her suppressed gun and a unsuppressed 22. plus everyone thinks its a suppressor on my 15-22.  :) just be clear its not a suppresser.
  18. if the trigger is locking up, as you stated its like the safety is on. look for a blown primer or = trash under or around the trigger. ask me how I know. on the other I would first say a bad mag, but you say that is not it. I really do not know about those very short barrel lengths but inspect your bolt and be sure the ejector is free and working and the extractor is not broken and the you good spring tension.   just guessing
  19. I had a few tell me I should try a box fed shotgun. cost was why, to make a 1919 or saiga ready to race would be another $1000, the 1919 mags are super high. unlike hognut I do not have $3K to spend on a R & R racing shotgun. Firebird is not much cheaper on the 1919.   I sold the VM. just do not have the strength I had before I got hurt. the 1301 is easy for me to handle and the trigger is easy for me. I came very close to not even replacing the VM. but I probably have now more shotgun ammo that I will ever use now, 500+ shot 100 low recoil buck and only about 50 slugs.    the big reason why got a new shotgun, is they gave $1000 for a 6.8 rifle I was working on, with no sights or optic.   I hope that makes some kind of sense. and I will always come in last.
  20. no not with that, but with Larue it's is top notch. never a issue
  21. just my 2 cents, I do not think you will be happy at all with the newer 1100's. just me, if you want a Remington go with Versa Max. its heavier than the 1100 but it runs it everything. do not know anything about the SX3.
  22. Pictures!? I will be shooting in open since I can not reload,(on the clock) when it goes empty I will just take the penalties.
  23. forgot, it looks he was doing great with the 458
  24. the barrel nut and clamp came in today and with the +5 tube and the XXL cap I had its a 11 +1. I do believe the XL cap will work and still have 11 in the mag. I will try that later. with the XL cap and extended chokes, it will look better.
  25. glad it worked for you, like I was trying to say, when the case/round gets stuck its most always from a reload.
