I’m looking for information on my Model 10. With something that’s been made since 1957 (and seems have roots back to 1899) I’m aware it has been through a few revisions, but I’m not able to identify it. The serial starts with 6D.

Bought a S&W steel front sight for the above mentioned gun (plastic from the factory). I also polished the gun because I didn’t like the finish from Chiappa. Did some work on the feed ramp, and I’m currently building a steel magazine for it (there is only plastic available). It’s turning into a great little shooter. I can shoot the exact same spot every time stacking bullets in bullet holes in the target. Now onto finishing making a custom steel magazine out of 20 ga steel.

Curiosity got the best of me on having a 1911 that was chambered in 22 and had a fixed barrel. Seemed good in theory. The heft and fixed barrel seem to put it right on target. Sure ain’t no Smith & Wesson, but for what it cost it’s fun.

Very jelly of that purchase! I’m looking for one right now at a reasonable price. I have several M&P (Full size, shield, compact, etc) and by far my favorite is my Compact 22. I can’t think of a more perfect gun size wise and shootability than a Compact. It does everything perfectly. I bought my shield 2.0 9mm on black friday in an EDC kit and it has the red Crims, but a week later I found my Compact 22 and immediately regretted not buying the 9mm in a Compact.

They look like adjustable glock sites. I’m not fond of either system. Glock sites are no good for me and dots aren’t quick or easy either. The best sites I’ve ever used are XS Sights large ball. I’m convinced Stevie Wonder could hit coke cans at 15 yards with them with no aim prep.

Not bad at all, after taxes and ffl it’ll be a lot closer to what you pay in store at Academy or another retailer who run sales constantly so i always do the final math before i buy online. With a TN tax of 9.25% and an average ffl of $30 that is $401.35. I can get it from academy for $439 off sale and less than PSA price on sale. Just depends on who is running the sale at the time. if shipped is with taxes, but not ffl then it’s a better deal for sure. Closer to $370-ish. Not enough info to tell. I do however usually find that nobody beats academy on sale.

I like literally everything about that (other than the flip up sights). That rail is excellent. Very slick.

In fact I did find it hotter. So much so that it blurrs my camera at 20+ feet away. Every shot the muzzle break was so violent the entire image blurred.

If everyone sells a can of DR PEPPER at $3, you’ll pay $3 no matter what. If the guy down to road starts selling them at $2 you can either adapt or watch him outsell everyone ten to one. Eventually everyone will sell it at $2 to $2.40. PSA has always given great value to try and make prices better for everyone. That is the owners mission statement. They have sacrificed their own resale value to achieve this. PSA has always put out good quality, low priced items. Not CHEAP items. This introduction is another bite in the market that is needed because Glock has always given less for more. Plastic sights, plastic guide rods, no safety means less parts - yet they charge you more while Smith & Wesson has given you stainless guide rods, steel sights, and safety options (also metal) on guns for less $ this entire time. PSA is about to make things better for everyone, even if you don’t want one.

Recently an AR15, but changed ammo yesterday and feel like I bought a new gun. I started with lacquered steel 223 and changed over to brass 5.56 in which I changed manufacturers as well. Sometimes you can feel like you got a new toy without getting one.

Yep, two men and one woman that held their guns sideways down the line of people standing were trying to take their safety OFF were drilled repeatedly to keep their muzzle forward. Awareness isn’t for everyone. Some need taught. Assuming you skipped the entire thread and started on page 3. This has been covered multiple times in the thread. The non enhanced is a learners permit IMO. Seems the other states feel the same.

People don’t see the VALUE or lack thereof in these permits from either side of the line. People who go for the Enhanced don’t see value in a permit that barely gives you any rights, can only be used in your state, and costs NEARLY AS MUCH as the full permit because whether you pay for an online course or an 8 hr full course you’re still spending over $100 in the end. All people see is the $60 price tag and that they don’t have to take a real training course. People going for the cheaper option are usually doing just that. With no concern for state to state laws they just want a cheap option. Once they carry for a while they will either be illegally carrying when they go out of town for holidays or travel - or leaving their gun at home. Something that we know is not a real option after you’ve carried for a while. Most wouldn’t go away to a strange area unarmed. They find out quickly how limited they are even in their own town - barely extending past the castle laws because you already were able to take your gun everywhere in the car. Yet spending almost as much in the end as the Enhanced permit, you end up with little more freedom than no permit. “I don’t have time to take a course” When are you going to practice? Never? Probably. People around where you will be shooting should be concerned. This is the worst permit ever.

I got to shoot my AR yesterday and the biggest thing that stood out to me was how solid the trigger was. It has absolutely zero movement or play and goes “click, boom” instantly when i pull it. When I heard that these have gritty rattly triggers in them I couldn’t understand why they say that, then I remembered the guy that I got my AR from is a gunsmith. I don’t know what he did, but this is the best trigger I’ve shot in anything. I’m now starting to wonder what else he has done to it because I haven’t experienced any of the complaints people say are the difference between the PSA and some that cost more. I’ll probably find out a lot more about it as time goes. It’s got Magpul furniture, but not the stuff that comes with the PSA Magpul. I think the trade got a little better after finding things he has done, because apparently this is not a stock trigger.

If you’re watching the sales you do. Federal black pack 9mm goes from $60 to $40 (250 rnds). Fiocchi 9mm goes from $9.99 to $7.99 (50 rnds). Remington bucket o bullets 22 goes from $80 to $50 (1400 rnds) and so on...... nothing online is close when they have a sale and it's around the corner a few miles away. Think about it at 2pm and be shooting by 3pm, not in a week. All brass.

What screws ammo prices online is shipping.

I'm pretty amazed at ammo costs for target. The 223 is cheaper than 45 ACP. I thought I would go broke quick with the AR, but actually the cheapest I can get ammo from Academy for the 45 is 38¢ and for the AR in 223 is 32¢ (36¢ for 556). It's cheaper to run the range with the AR than a 45 ACP pistol. That's nutty.

I'm not sure what I'll use this for so until I can get some idea of the distance I'll be working with I won't need much more than basic sights.
