  1. I’ve got a couple rimfire cans, a .30 cal can and a .46 cal can. The rimfire cans are by far our most favorite. The .30 cal gets the most use come hunting season in the fall. The .46 gets used, but not near as much as I thought. I’ve said for the last few years I was going to get a dedicated 9mm can, but haven’t. I’ve shoot several suppressed 9mm pistols, it’s just not for me. Stick one on the end of a AR9 and you have my attention, not so much with pistols at the moment.
  2. I bought a brand new still in the crate ‘Zuki 25 Hp, short shaft, tiller handle in 2019. It seen the dealer for warranty work several times before it clicked over 25 hours. It seemed to be real finicky about the quality of fuel it wanted. Although I always ran ethanol free fuel and fresh filters. They replaced the high pressure fuel pump, the low pressure pickup and filters. I do think I got a lemon, as I’ve been around other ‘Zukis that are dead nuts reliable. I bought a brand new Merc’ 50 Hp, tiller hande in ‘23 that has done everything I’ve asked of it without a hiccup. I’ll own Marc’s or Tohatsu’s moving forward. The Tohatsu’s can be turned up for more HP and Rpm’s with a program, should you want to. Edit- I didn’t purchase a Yamaha because they, the dealer had to install them for the warranty to go into effect. That’s fine, but there was an installation fee to hang a 125 pound outboard on my flat bottom and plug the fuel line in to the tank. I wasn’t paying for that, so I passed.
  3. I didn’t realize they done away with that. I think I agree with this as well.
  4. I might be wrong, but I don't see it changing from 3 a day in Unit L. If you look at the numbers a significant number of antlered deer were killed versus antlerless. I do wish they would have left the private land hunt alone at the end of the season. That's a week my family looked forward to in the past.
  5. Sent a PM. I’ve got the .22LR version of this gun. It’s one of my favorites.
  6. Just bought my first Tacoma a few weeks ago, ‘96 Ext cab 4WD.I had been hunting a used one to use as a backup vehicle, hunting/fishing rig, etc. My wife stumbled across it on FB for sale. I’ve had older Toy trucks, Gen I and II’s but never a Tacoma. I’m pleased with it so far. I’d like to find some stock later model takeoff Tacoma wheels if any of you guess are upgrading or have upgraded.
  7. Black and whatever is on sale.
  8. I’m wanting to add a ball head to my old death grip tripod. I’d like to be able to swap the saddle for a screw mount.. I see a few options out there, but then that lead to looking at new tripods in general. Anyone do any upgrades to the BOG tripod and have recommendations? If so let’s hear them.
  9. We, my family made a day on the TN portion of it a few years back. We stopped and hiked almost all the trails to the waterfalls and observations spots. It’s was October so it wasn’t hot and made for an enjoyable experience. If y’all like the outdoors I’d recommend it. I wish I had brought binoculars, because there was lots of wildlife to view.
  10. Yes, I seen that. Beating Pearl is quite a feat. I really thought this was Marshall county’s year, but Pearl beat them. Pearl was down 21 points in the fourth quarter against Marshall on the road and came back to win. If it wasn’t hunting season, I’d make the trip to C-town and watch a few games.
  11. My son plays in 4A. They got beat in OT in the first round. Melrose is a tough ball team. I hope Macon County puts it on them Saturday.
  12. Just an update in case anyone searches in the future. I have learned the factory 3” guns have a steel receiver, while the 2 3/4” guns have an aluminum receiver. Makes sense as to why the gun is so light in weight. It does seem one can still swap barrels between the two.
  13. Still closed as of the other day.
  14. I’ve got an older model Franchi Al48 12 gauge, 2 3/4” chamber shotgun. I see some 3” chamber barrels available online. Would it really be as easy as swapping barrels or is there something I’m missing? Are the receivers different from a 2 3/4” gun to a 3” gun? While I got your attention anyone sitting on any Franchi choke tubes they’re looking to sell?
  15. Not sure if you found some, but if you ever head west the Sportsman Store in Dickson had #6’s last time I was in there.
