Might be the most beautiful Sig I've ever seen. Single action, frame mounted safety, etc. P-226X 9mm. I was told this was one of the last Sigs to come out of their custom shop before Sig closed it down. Bid often, gents. Here

Dual sport bikes sound like what you're describing. I used to go to dealers & pester a salesman with 1000 questions during my rookie learning curve. They were pretty cool about it then. For a dual sport, you'll want to balance the need for Hp with the overall weight of the bike. Something in the 700-800cc would be what I would look at. Still good power but pretty nimble off road. Gee, if I could only remember where I've seen that before??????????????????

Looking at 10mm PDW's. Probably in the 8-10" barrel length with some sort of brace. Glock mag package to make it cheap & easy to find 30rd-ish capacity. I can skip the B&T & other top tier brands as my budget is well, well below top tier. My taste isn't, but my budget is. I'd need to be under $1K, so that limits my search. I've found what appears to be a tailor-made model for this but I have no clue about the brand as I've not heard of them before. Moriarti Armaments I guess there's also the option of buying/building a Glock-based AR pistol lower & then buying an upper? With my preference for 10mm, this might be the bigger selection offering? I'm in no hurry on this as I've got a lot more shopping and research to do on this. Also, does anyone know anything about SGM Tactical mags? They appear to be decently built, certainly better than the ETS brand mags, IMO. But not having held one, I don't know for certain. Link: SGM Tactical All opinions/suggestions welcomed.

Looking for .22 pistol/rifle competition

Does the Oak Ridge range still host some rimfire matches? Seems like they used to do steel plate rimfire before the Great Rimfire Ammo Shortage hit? With the price of ammo being what it is these days, rimfire shooting is a darn good option. -
Now I feel like the puppy chasing the laser dot on the floor & you're holding the laser! Hey, I'm gonna work up a post asking about pistol cal PDW's in the handgun section. Please drop-in & comment what you think, if you would?

Looking for .22 pistol/rifle competition

Nowhere to host it, really. Sad. -
Ah, I stand corrected now. I thought it was the owner that could swap out such items. Should've know better as breech faces aren't swappable.

This is why I buy H&K. I already know they hate me & they don't dicker with it like Walther has..........................

Well, to some of us, it's more than simply being more accurate. Fit, finish, cosmetics, features, etc all come into play when comparing something in those price ranges, IMO. Kinda like having a BMW & saying you don't want a Ferrari until you can run a NASCAR race & win it.
-
"Unplanned release." I like that!
-
At some point, wouldn't all the changeable options effect accuracy? Swapping this & that out all the time can't help consistency, would it? Even a top tier-made gun? I'm a bit surprised about them making their own barrels. I've heard this is not an inexpensive thing to jump into for mfg. Given how many mfgrs use Nowlin/Wilson/Kart barrels & fit them, I bet this is pretty rare these days.

I've read a few horror stories about some dealers charging $50-60 because they didn't want to fool with it or they had one in stock themselves but at a much higher price. It's an easy profit for a dealer, quick & painless. Of course some buyers pester the schitt out of the dealer wanting to know "if it's in yet?" LOL!

I believe the root of all problems firearms related are right there, IMO. Heck, it bankrupted Colt at one point.
-
Well, the cheapest one seems to be a single stack, I think? As for price, that's why we buy lottery tickets.

Don't be too modest as I value your opinions on 1911s very highly. You've always been honest in your opinions & are almost always correct on them, IMO. It surprises me just tiny bit that you've not shot one yet. I also didn't know they've been around since 2009. Thanks for chiming in.

After many years of hope, it's happening. I'm finally moving to TN

I hope I live long enough to see that happen..................... -
I can't imagine thinking these charges are worth throwing my life away by getting killed during an escape? Obviously these guys weren't in the situation they were in by being smart. Jeez.

I understand others not wanting to do this, but were I in the same boat I would at least think hard about doing it this way: 1) Find appropriate acreage in suitable location & affordable price & buy it. 2) Park a decent double wide on it, plumb it, add a metal skirt. 3) Hire someone to build an appropriate sized pole barn, design of your choosing. All that would come in both much cheaper & with less stress than a never ending search for something that may not even be out there? Again, I understand why some wouldn't want to do it this way. Good luck to those fellas. -
(sigh................) Sarcasm. You missed it.

Also one of many reasons cops are SO beloved among the gun community too.

Cops lock their car every time they leave it to eat, go in a store or go to the bathroom. Doesn't seem to bother them there does it? What does it take to unlock a car? 2 seconds? 3 seconds? That's nothing. I don't disagree with the stupid people stealing a police car. But here we have Exhibit A in such a stupid person. Cop was well away from back-up, by himself & had no knowledge of the person on the interstate, i.e. his state of mind and/or physical status. Looks like he found out both, IMO. Had he simply bothered to lock his car, NONE of that would've happened, would it? Nope. Quite the leap there with the driver becoming a vehicular battering ram. Where did you pull that out from, thin air? Last I heard, ALL rifles & shotguns were locked up in a rack inside a vehicle for this very reason. Have you heard different? If so, please share it. You also skipped over the cop shooting at the driver, endangering a lot of innocent people. When did auto theft become a capital crime? Not carjacking, auto theft. Cop should be suspended for a lot of things but certainly for firing his weapon on a crowded interstate. Stupid.

"Two" is about right for under $600 with both of them being a CZ of some sort.

Why would they hurry? Have you never been around gubbermint workers in any form? Now, if they got paid by the # of approvals they would indeed get off their ass.
