  1. Whoa!!!!!! Slow down on the info there, Sparky!!!!!!
  2. Short answer: get the Enhanced Carry. This allows you to carry in many other states. My .o2
  3. Yeah, that surprises me they're almost identical to each other, the 7.5 & 5.7 calibers. As for hunting & self-defense, one could argue they're both the same...................... Some of those calibers I've NEVER heard of before in my life: .414 Supermag? .44 AMP? .40 Super? Am I the only one in the dark on these calibers?
  4. If you're able to, contrast it with the FN 5.7x28, please? Based on what I've read, the 7.5 is a much, much more potent rd. Defeats Level 3 body armor at 100 meters with the proper ammo. (Not that I need that or anything.) What I don't know is how flat it shoots beyond that 50 meter range when compared to the 5.7? Thanks!
  5. Did you read the entire thread? Taser wasn't an option as he had on clothing that prevented the taser probes from attaching to his body. This isn't tv or NICS. Nor does the average police officer carry "rubber bullets". Seriously? Good for you & your cut hands with your box cutter. Now allow yourself to go wrestle with an insane person who now has just cut your throat with one. How's that crazy glue gonna work on that? While I agree 100% he never should've been shot, my reasons are wholly different from yours.
  6. I spent almost 60 years in Nashville. I was there before a single interstate was built through the city. I remember well the vote to go to a Metro county govt. That city hasn't existed in over 20 years now, IMO. Now, it's a Dimocrat-ran cesspool of high crime, anti-gun politicians (those two are related as well), high taxes & no solution what so ever on its traffic problem. All their football teams suck too, with the possible exception of the Titans. Their public schools are not much more than prison training grounds & I say this as a child of a public school teacher & one who went to public schools all my life. It's sad what Nashville has become these days, which is why I warned him off from there.
  7. Wow, that would totally suck! I'm both surprised/not surprised how people allow trees to droop over their homes like that. Not just ice storms, but strong winds will also drop those limbs faster than Biden's approval ratings. I hope no one was injured in the pic.
  8. I would think (hope?) that a company charging by the hour would take their time & not drop or break anything? Versus a flat rate company who just wants to hurry up & get it done ASAP?
  9. Avoid living in Davidson Co like your life depends on it, IMO. If you're working in Antioch (L.A., lower Antioch), then Rutherford Co might make the best sense? Bedford Co is another option as is the aforementioned Wilson Co. Williamson Co is super nice, but Ho Lee Chit, it's expensive. Good luck!
  10. Saw on the news 100K people have no power in Shelby Co. That would suck for people with c-pap & ventilator machines.
  11. Obesity seems to be a common link in a lot of the covid deaths.
  12. I've never heard a complaint about 2 Men & a Truck.
  13. I eat there quite a bit. Rick is a cool guy. All the restaurant workers are his kids too. I did the pictures for one of his daughter's wedding last year. The restaurant is right on Hwy 411, between Delano & Benton. Good place to eat.
  14. If their item is on Gun Broker, they won't pull it off & sell it in the shop while the auction is still live. So be prepared for that. Now, if it doesn't sell in auction, they'll happily sell it to you at a good price. Before I forget:
  15. There's a post on Scoop: Nashville about the moving company "All My Sons" who got caught stealing some Beretta's (didn't say which ones) & a bunch of money. While we all can decry the use of a moving party to move one's firearms, who the heck leaves cash around for some movers to see, touch & take? Stupid! The guy(s) who stole the guns & $$$ admitted it to his boss & the cops. Needless to say, he wasn't one of the "Sons"............... LOL!
  16. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the advantage of the General over the Technician level?
  17. All true. Look at peanut allergies. Widely found these days, wholly unheard of prior to (say) 2000. MSG, gluten, all sorts of allergies these days. Dementia is seemingly 100 times worse than it was when I was a kid.
  18. LMAO!!!! You have to ponder this? Allow me to list just a few of the changes. 1) Kids today (including college) have to have "safe spaces". This means no "mean" words. Doesn't mean the words are actually "mean", just that a kid believes they are. 2) Kids have to be told to NOT eat the Tide Pods. Seriously? What next? Don't stick one's tongue inside an empty lamp socket & turn it on? 3) No dodge ball, tag or any other "old" games on the playground. Seemingly it deflates their self-esteem when they become "it" in a game. 4) Obesity is a pandemic. In the mid- to late 1960s I could count the "fat" kids in my entire grade on one hand & have several fingers left over. Now it's the opposite: count the number of non-fat kids on one hand & have fingers left over. 5) Teens would have a shotgun or .22 rifle in their gun racks while at school in the 1960s. Some hunted before school, some would hunt after school, some would shoot mistletoe from the tops of trees & sell it. No one EVER thought about shooting up a school! 6) No kid was on meds. None. Now, you have Attention deficient disorder & they take Ritalin. Anxiety promotes Zantac or some such thing. (Studies also show every single school shooter was on some sort of anxiety med. Look it up.) 7) We got many paddlings by the teachers (gym/shop teachers were the worst!) or the principal & then went back to class. No fuss, no muss. Now it's a "time out" or in-school suspension, neither of which do squat. Now, a principal paddles a kid, Children's Services shuts the school down & the principal is hauled off in leg irons. 8 ) A good 1/4 of the guys in my school took some sort of shop class. We were blessed with a good shop program. Offerings were carpentry, electronics, HVAC, machine shop, auto repair, auto body & welding. Construction trades (brickwork) too. They knew not everyone wanted or were cut out for college. Now, it's go to college or you're a failure. 9) Haven't seen a kid change his own tire in over 20 years. They don't know where the spare is nor how to work the jack. 10) Kids in a Massachusetts school "identify" as cats. No BS, true story. So the school put down litter boxes in the restrooms. Schitt thee I not. 11) A kid today says "I am not a male, I am a female" & they get to use the female restroom. Never mind he has a penis, that's overlooked. This has resulted in at least one sexual assault in VA, possibly more that was covered up by the local school board. Look it up. 12) While I won't go into the whole points/timing/dwell thing on a car engine as they're no longer used, but I know grown men whom cannot change their own oil. Grown............... Men............... I began doing my own at 16 & have continued that to this day 47 years later. Heaven forbid they change their coolant, spark plugs or brake pads. They're clueless, completely. I weep for their future. They'll be made to speak Chinese, IMO.
  19. Well, someone had to make that decision, no? Still sad to know this.
  20. Most likely the deal was in the works before "inventory". A new owner, coupled with a new FFL & ATF regs/audits, would probably require such an audit. No one in their right mind would buy a large gun shop & not want to ensure everything is in stock as the paperwork says it is. I asked earlier if the old owner was retiring & never got an answer.
  21. Good news-bad news. Bad news is, I'm highly saddened to hear S&W QC has dropped to such levels. I've a bunch of their revolvers & their target Model 52. All are excellent in examples of firearm manufacturing, IMO. Good news is, I neither own nor plan on owning a S&W semi. My only exceptions are my Model 52 & their Model 41. It baffles me how a company can make such excellent revolvers & turn right around & make such mundane semi's?
  22. A) You would be correct. B) You're learning why now. No offense meant nor implied.
