  1. Great thread, but you could show us the gun since this is a gun forum!
  2. I usually have great interest in reading your posts. I don’t always agree with you, but you make me think. That’s a good thing. That being said, you are off the rails on this one. There’s no logical reason you or I should be liable for the criminal actions of someone who violated us.
  3. Dave, you label me as a cop basher, and I've earned it, but this isn't a police issue. It is a court issue. If we as a society do not decide to actually punish criminals harshly, we will continue to get more of the same. I'd like to live in a society where locking one's doors is optional. That can happen again, but no one seems to have the stomach to fix the problem.
  4. Anybody give any thought to doing something about thieves?
  5. I regret I didn’t go watch a figure 8 race before they stopped them. I’ll bet that was entertaining.
  6. I never heard a convincing reason why it tanked. They was grade work started for a dirt track and a couple of dragstrips as well. It looked to me like it had promise, then it was closed.
  7. The state built a very nice access road to the racetrack in Wilson county. It provides access to US231 and 840. I couldn’t imagine a place easier to get in or out of. What am I missing?
  8. Congratulations on the beautiful new addition to your family. You are so right about the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital changing one's perspective. They care for children who are truly suffering. All the things you've described are just life. You and the wife will be dead tired for the next several years, but all too soon, you'll be looking back on this time as the best time of your lives.
  9. My sons and I think it is well done, and it has a chance at success. I wish Tennessee had a team. It's like a farm league for the NFL. They are playing hard.
  10. I always wondered if they were edible. Thanks for sharing your amazing trip.
  11. Bang, click, bang, click, bang, click just doesn’t do it for me.
  12. So do I plug every other chamber in my revolvers?
  13. Better than half our congregation isn't old enough to buy a can of snuff. Keep it in your pocket or holster is my opinion.
  14. I find them intriguing, although I've never handled one. The idea is surely sound. If you get one, let us know how you like it. It got Jeff Cooper's stamp of approval, so that's something.
  15. Build=get what you want. Buy=better resale value.
  16. LOL! Colt has been making "old azz cowboy guns" since the mid 1800's. They are many things, but junk is not one of them.
  17. It ain’t a Colt if that’s what you’re after. You remind me of my father. Knows what he wants, but too tight to pay for it. Quit beating yourself up and go get a Colt.
  18. Not unless you ran a red light. I don’t recall any red lights on I-40.
  19. Dude is now my hero.
  20. I forgot about meeting you. LOL!
  21. I’ve had great luck using GOC. Being computer illiterate, resizing photos to their spec remains the greatest challenge to me. I’ve found LSN to be useful as well.
  22. Very little difference between the two in real world applications. Same case; one bullet measures .308 diameter while the other measures .284. Let him choose.
  23. I didn’t intend to offend anyone, but should have seen it coming. I just do not understand why our society elevates athletes, actors, etc. to sainthood status or beyond simply because they have a specific talent. I’ve not seen it mentioned here that one of our planes went down in Afghanistan a few days ago. It was barely mentioned in the news.
  24. Imagine how great a place this would be if people thought half as much about the death of Jesus as they do this clown.
  25. I've got to get down there and check this store out! Thanks.
