  1. Ive heard alot of good stuff about Blackhorn 209 from several different hunting forums Im on. Supposed to be the closest thing to smokeless. I plan on trying it in my old Knight Wolverine one of these days to see for myself.
  2. My lil man is only two so I still got a few years. Good luck to all the juvies this weekend.
  3. Ill be using my Savage 10 MLII with 44 grains of AA5744 over a 250gr xtp and mmp sabot. Gonna try to pick up some IMR 4759 or 4227 this weekend to try out with some 300gr xtp's.
  4. To each his own. I love my Savage 10 ML II smokeless muzzleloader. I get to shoot/hunt more and clean less. It still loads from the muzzle and you only have one shot. If a modern muzzleloader or crossbow gets somebody in the outdoors that wouldnt have been there otherwise, then thats a win for us all. Good luck to everyone this season, no matter what weapon you choose.
  5. Been thincking about getting my medical card, and taking on a little side work running a dump truck for a friend. Ive never needed one before since I drive for a goverment agency. Glad to hear theres no finger...
  6. Ive got one Id part with, pm sent
  7. I love my mkII target. The rugers are great pistols. You also mite wanna check the Browning Buckmarks. Those seem to be the most popular, and probaly for good reason.

    6.8spc or 243?

Ive got a Remington 700 sps in 243 win. I bought it for my lil boy to deer hunt with n a few years. I love it, killed a big 4 point with it last year that never took a step. Complete pass thru at about 100 yds with 100 gr Hornady inter-locks. Its a wonderful versatile caliber, that will handle anything in Tennessee, plus ammo is easy to find and cheap. My next rifle will be a Remington 700 or Savage 10 in 7mm-08. Hard to beat anything based on the 308 cartride.
  9. x2, I usually try to hunt out of my Summitt Viper but alot of places just dont accomodate a treestand. I just cant keep still or comfy for long on the ground. A good stool would work wonders. I tried using one of those fold up camp chairs but they are worthless if the ground isnt somewhat level.
  10. I love my G30! I shoot it better than my 21sf for some reaseon.
  11. Georgia Arms is the way to go if you decide to get a 10mm, if you dont reload. The last time I stocked up I got 50 rounds of fmj for 20.50 or 50 rounds of jhp for 21.50, at the gun show. You can get it cheaper in bulk. Premium carry/hunting ammo can get a little pricey though.
  12. I recently sold a 2nd gen G20 to buy a 3rd gen 20sf. Im a big guy but the 20sf feels perfect to me. The full size still feels good to me but I prefer the sf. They are a wonderfull shooting pistol. Go fondle one at the gun shop and if it fits you, buy it. I use mine as a woods gun and have recently added a set of TFO's. Gonna try an get a deer with it this year if its comes close enough.
  13. I got two of the wildgame innovations IR4's that bass pro had on sale last year. Awesome.camera for the $$!
  14. Quoata hunt results are up on the twra's website. I got Fall Creek Falls. Anyone else draw? http://www.tn.gov/twra/quotahunts.html

I recently sold my g20 to fund a new 20sf. Also put some tfo's on it. I absolutely love it! I usually pick up a few bags of Georgia Arms at each gun show for practice.

My next purchase will be a 19. Im not really sure which i will get. Ive got three 3rd.gen glocks now so I may pick the 4th gen just to add some spice. Although I love the 3rd gen.
  17. I never got the big book till about 3 years ago, when I bought some big ticket items from them. Now I get two a year.
  18. Congrats on the 19. Looking for one as my next purchase!
  19. What about the Kimber Solo? Seriously thincken' about adding one to the rotation.
  20. Nice, those are what I carry in my G21sf.
  21. I was parked in front of that building in my city truck about an hour before. Defiantly sobering to thinck how close I was to being number three. Had to leave my personal vehicle at the office till it gets "decontaminated"
  22. If im not mistaken Calhouns and the Brewery are posted, but havent been in there in awhile. I know for a fact the Alamo is posted. Bennets Bar-B-Q is owned by the same people so it probaly is as well . Overall tho, there are very few places in G-burg posted. I only spend 40+ hours a week there and rarely see anything.
