  1. Congrats to the winners, and a big +1 for Dolomite for the chance!
  2. I was ready to say Glock 19. But if its no concealed carry and only 10 rounds, G 20 or 21.
  3. Beatiful collection! Im fond of Rugers and Glocks myself.
  4. I just bought my first AR a couple of weeks ago. Almost bought a M&P sport. Ive heard nothing but good about them. I ended up buying a Stag model 2. Very happy with it so far. I would definatly recomend it. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/36_800/products_id/411545226
  5. Just got my first AR, a Stag model 2. Added a cheap AIM quad rail and G.P.S. vertical grip today. Trying to decide on optics now. Here is a before and after pic along with some evil black pistols. Glock 20sf,19,21sf
  6. I will never part with my G19 for the reasons others have stated. Plus I just love it, fits me like a glove. My second choice would be my G20sf. Awesome gun, goes with me anytime Im hunting or 4wheeling.
  7. I tried to register on my phone also, had the exact same problem. My tax return is burning a hole in my pocket. I will have AR soon! Mostly because of this thread. My wife hates you all!!
  8. Ive got one of those that my grandfather bought at an auction. I had been meaning to get it out and research it.
  9. While I was at the gun show in White Pine a couple of months back I saw some TWRA officers writing citations to a couple of vendors that didnt have tax stamps on there ammo.
  10. I used my Glock 21sf. I had just put a set of XS Big Dots on it and wanted to try them out.
  11. Im in the exact same situation as you, but with a new(9/2011) 3rd gen 19 . I need the new style ejector(30274) that glock is now using in the new gen 3's, Glock also told me to send it in or they would ship to an armorer. Karnage if it isnt to much trouble could you help me out as well?
  12. Thancks guys, according to the serial # it was born in 1921. Im a hi cap auto fan but these old revolvers are just cool. May hafta clear a place in the safe for it to live next to the autos.
  13. Just picked up a new toy. Colt police positive special 32-20. Serial # 2339xx. Any of you guys know any history on these guns? Thought it was a interesting piece and the the price was cheap enough. Figured it would make good trade fodder or a Christmas gift for ol dad.
  14. Congrats on the new toy. I just picked up a G33 with glock nite sights. They are fine but I like the TFO's on my g20 better. Cant hardly go wrong with any of em tho.
  15. Gatlinburg has G22. I got a friend with Newport PD that carries G31 but that may be his choice, didnt thinck to ask him what they are issued.
  16. Our employee handbook says permit holders may keep there firearm in there locked vehicle or non permit holders may have a weapon during hunting season if they are going or coming from hunting(also in locked vehicle). When I first started with the city there was no firearms allowed other than the hunting part, but luckily in the last few years it was revised.
  17. AWESOME!! Cant wait till i get to experiance my boys first. Congrats to you both.
  18. Bow season doe Muzzleloader doe Muzzleloader buck My freezer is full, so Im waiting on a big one now.
  19. Killed a doe opening morning and a 6 point Sunday. Had a good year so far, been 4 times and killed 3. Gonna take a good one before I pull the trigger again this year.
  20. Either a Remington 700 SPS in .243 or a Marlin 336 in .35 Rem. Both topped with Nikon 3-9x40's. On occasion Ill break out dads old Rem 742 30-06.
  21. Smoked a big doe about 20 till 9 this mornen'. Talk about foggy this morning, didnt know if Id be able to even see a deer. Was looking forward to hunting all weekend but It'll be nice to sleep in in the morning. H heres one of my lil man when i got home, cant wait till he's going with me.
  22. Your exactly right, and a very good practice to preach. Very funny story looking back but the only time I ever needed a 2nd shot was during the 09 Muzzloader season. We had a lease in Weakley County when I shot the first deer I seen as she cleared a timber line. Only deer I had seen in a few days of hunting so I was eager to shoot. Well I dropped her in her tracks as a good eight point cleared the wood line to sniff her as I sat there and looked on with an empty gun. Looking back I dont know wether to laugh or cry...
  23. Is there anybody else shooting a smokeless muzzleloader. There is a few on the market includeing the Savage 10 ML II which is the most popular and what I shoot. They seem to be a hot topic on several of the boards I cruise, so I thought we could share some loads/info/tips here.
  24. Alot of good info right there. Ive always liked the CCI 209M and Federal 209A primers, as they are alot hotter than most other primers. I shot Pyrodex then 777 before I got my smokeless muzzleloader. I had good results out of the 250gr Shockwaves and 250gr Barnes Original over 90gr 777 or 100gr Pyrodex. Had good acuracy outta the 295gr Powerbelt but the on game performance was hit or miss. One would pass thru then the next would blow up on contact. The deer would either drop in its tracks or run with no blood trail. Nothing compares to the performance of smokeless but as im getting older the attractiveness of this "primitive" muzzleloading really appeals to me.
