  1. Keep your eyes peeled for deals on new ones. Last week I snagged an 1895 Trapper Silver (70450) for $1140. Wasn't really looking but when I saw that price, I just couldn't let it go.
  2. After buying some daily deals, I got an email talking about their new steel case ammo. Been hearing about it coming for over a year but now it's here. 45cpr for 7.62x39 is not bad considering the Azerbaijani stuff is the same price. I hope they sell a bazillion rounds and keep making more. American Steel Case 7.62x39
  3. Just picked up this little guy last week to replace my G29 as the new EDC. I absolutely love how 2011s fit in my hand. First time I felt the base model RIA DS 10mm, it was a match made in heaven. 1911s are cool and all but they always felt odd in my paw which is why I don't own any. Maybe it's dainty manlet sized hands, who knows. My only real complaint is the slide release is an awkwardly long reach for me. Both on that Bul Ultralight but also my Cosaint Arms COS21 10mm.
  4. If the next owner is interested, I've got a polished chrome 50AE barrel and some new 50AE mags that would be the ultimate accoutrements to this fine piece.
  5. I've got the place and other accoutrements. There is a naturally defined pistol berm that just needs targets setup, which I have. The rifle range has not been developed yet so setup is up for discussion. DM me and we can start making things happen.
  6. Since you like reloading 30 cal: 180gr green tip projos
  7. If it's a currently or recently produced piece, 90% of the time you can find it cheaper online somewhere. Not necessarily here but there are plenty of "like new" private party firearms available where the asking price is higher than new from an online retailer. Haggling is a dead art form and humans are a pain to deal with so ordering a mass produced pew pew from a faceless website and having it shipped to my local FFL who I end up BSing with for hours every time he has a transfer for me. The choice is simple. If it's out of production, well, good luck and godspeed.
  8. Crown Royal Reserve is a legitimately good sipping whisky. Went through several bottles of it last time I was in Hawaii, of all places, as it was readily available and reasonably priced.
  9. Bumpity bumpity. When's the party?
  10. Both of mine are the 10mm DS. The Rock Ultra HC is the base model and the overall quality is mediocre. Mine had minor imperfections in the feed ramp of the barrel that needed clean up and whatever coating they use gets scratched just by looking at it. The TAC Ultra HC is a huge improvement all around. Better coating, better machine work, better quality all around. As far as performance, I haven't gotten around to shooting it yet so the jury is still out there but she looks like she means business. Unlike when they came out, their prices have come down and have a pretty modest difference between them ($545.17 vs $617.58) so for the extra $72.39, I'd get the TAC Ultra HC and not look back.
  11. Online I'm seeing uncleaned brass as low as 12 cents per.
  12. All the ones I've come across have flaws out of the box but after a little love, they can be made reliable. Nothing really any different than any other budget 1911.
  13. Speaking of 10mm, I've been carrying a G29 for a while but even 10+1 of God's caliber doesn't seem like enough seed capacity if a situation goes that sideways. Pearce has the +2 extensions but you are so close to a full size frame at that point, might as well go big or go home. There are a bunch of carry sized 2011s out there like the Bul Armory Ultralight because not everyone has SFX9 money.
  14. The serialized part, in your case a stripped (assuming AR15) lower, is considered a firearm by the ATF. USPS is a federal entity so you have look at federal law in this situation. That's why FTF is the preferred way to transact in-state as there is no federal involvement in that method. It's very possible you could ship it and never get caught but is the risk worth it?
  15. Count me in. Let's do this!
  16. Probably want to clarify it's in 45AARP. I wanted it up until the point I realized it's not 10mm.
  17. Doesn't look like the venue is all that big. Google Maps view
