  1. It’s all right. Everyone is entitled to be wrong.
  2. Once again, Dolly proves that she’s likely the best human being currently on the planet https://www.forbes.com/sites/carlieporterfield/2021/02/18/dolly-parton-declines-proposal-to-build-a-statue-of-her-on-the-tennessee-capitol-grounds/ This is borderline political, but I think it is neutral enough to pass muster.
  3. I love the low key FJ flex.
  4. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying anything should be illegal. My point is that there are inherent dangers in certain activities that must be considered. Folks that live in places that deal with this weather regularly have a certain level of cultural knowledge with regards to what’s safe and what isn’t that folks down here may not have due to lack of experience. Like ponds. The kids who know not to get in water without an adult (or even can do that safely) during the summer might not understand that a thin layer of ice and snow can obscure where the water really is or what hypothermia is if they get wet. It’s easy to chalk up fatal accidents that happen to other folks as nature having her way. I’m just advising extra caution so that it doesn’t become one of us.
  5. I’ve seen a few more reports of child fatalities and near fatal accidents around the state. Be careful y’all. Don’t mix powered vehicles with sleds and take extra caution around formerly liquid bodies of water. I also had a friend slip on the ice and break his shoulder and now he will be out of work for 3-4 months. I grew up in this (dad was stationed in South Dakota for 8 years) so I’m not telling y’all to be terrified of the snow and ice and stay inside. Go out and make memories with the kids and grandkids! I’m just reminding y’all to take extra time to consider the dangers of the the “hey y’all, watch this” fun. Stay safe, y’all.
  6. Not to belabor the point too much, but bear with me. In 1997 if you only had 10 mags and a preban mag was $100+, then rebuilding magazines was a reasonable option. In 2020 when you can buy single magazines for as little as $10-12, or have 100 magazine cases drop shipped to your house for $8-900, there’s no reason to spend the same amount on rebuild kits. Don’t overthink it, just buy more mags. This is mostly focused on AR mags, but Glock mags are cheap and readily available right now as well. Most damage that renders a magazine unusable is to the body itself. It isn’t the follower or spring wearing out. It’s the body cracking, denting, or feed lips deforming in some way. Buy more mags. If you have guns with expensive mags, buy one or two as you can. If they’re out of stock, set up alerts with the various retail sites. (Gunmagwarehouse.com) Buy more mags.
  7. If you’re running pmags, just buy more lots more pmags now while they are still cheap. If you’re running USGI mags, do the same. If you’re running another brand of AR mag, buy a bunch of pmags or USGI mags while they are still cheap. A new mag is always a superior option to a rebuilt mag.
  8. When stuff like this happens and our redneck comes out, it just makes me smile.
  9. This is the same company that quit selling to LE agencies after being issued a citation from an officer for failing to adhere to mask mandates. They are about standing on principle, but at the same time, they absolutely do it publicly to make it work for their benefit. https://www.enblocpress.com/op-ed/ammunition-sales-to-law-enforcement-feeding-the-mouth-that-bites/ If you would like to get a better insight into the reasoning and views of the company and it’s owner, here is a livestream discussion between him and Rob Pincus moderated by Maj Toure from Black Guns Matter (check them out, they do great work).
  10. I spent a day and a half sitting in Little Rock waiting for things to calm down and clear up to get to Dallas.
  11. The wife is gonna put you back to work so you quit spending money.
  12. Welcome! I love California. I lived in San Diego for a short while in 06. It’s a beautiful and wonderful state that is ruined by the voters.
  13. You’re probably right, and that’s by design. His seat is safe because it’s designed to be that way. It’s why the primary is the real election there. I only use that as an example a way to let our critters know that we know how the game is played. That’s how you exert pressure. By making it clear you understand how the game works because you’ve been paying attention, and will continue to pay attention.
  14. Hey y’all, keep the focus directly on the 2A. To that end, we all need to keep the pressure on all of our Congress critters and ensure they know that any action against the 2A will result in electoral consequences. Don’t threaten to vote for their opponent in the general. Even in TN most seats are safe due to gerrymandering. Threaten to find and support a primary challenger who supports the 2A. As an example, a Republican Rep will never beat Steve Cohen in Memphis, but a pro 2A democrat might strip him of his seat in the primary which is the real election for that seat. Time to get smart and get to work.
  15. According to the snow projections, he should be prepared to cancel. I was gonna post up in west Memphis, but decided I needed to push on to LR because Memphis is about to get dumped on, hard.
  16. I’ve been driving through across all day today. I chose 840 around Crashville because the reports showed it was already jacked up by midday. In Memphis right now, light blowing snow, roads mostly clear. N. Little Rock tonight is the goal.
  17. I’d love to see a match where somebody set this up as a stage “David set up a mock-up of the Texas School Book Depository window up on a hill, with a couple old convertibles, some department-store mannequins, and an armored tractor with a long cable to pull the vehicle at the right speed through a clearing. You have to use a 6.5 Carcano with a four-power Tasco scope from 1962. The idea is to see if anyone can duplicate what Oswald is alleged to have done, because a lot of people have said it's impossible.” Excerpt From Unintended Consequences John Ross This material may be protected by copyright.
  18. Nope. Nothing to do with Gina Carano.
  19. It’s a bit on the nose, don’t ya think? I can’t stop laughing, y’all!
  20. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=make it rain
  21. Gorgeous.
  22. Sources are reporting that the deal has finalized. CZ-USA had purchased Colt.
  23. Firearms Policy Coalition. They’re the cats currently making it rain lawsuits against any and all gun laws they can like rappers at a strip club.
  24. I find it all really cool, but with my job/lifestyle it’s not in the cards. But it’s cool having friends who are into it and can print stuff for you. Like Byrd who converted a family photo into a cool backlit diorama thingy. Wife, MIL and mom all loved it.
