  1. I have someone I’d recommend for pretty much anything. He’s done a lot of work for me including some excellent customization on multiple BHPs. I’d still get on the Wilson waitlist if I were in your shoes.
  2. Surefire X300U-a has a push button clamping mount. The b is a thumb screw, but the a sounds like what you’re after. Takes about a second to install or remove and is actually a duty grade light.
  3. The real thinker over at T-Rex put out this video that talks about the TN special session in specific and Red Flag laws in general. Lots of good information that may be helpful for talking to your legislators.
  4. Some of their contracts are obligated to go to other union carriers, the rest of them. I expect to get picked up by the big boys. As far as their equipment goes, they’re known for having the oldest rusty ass buckets of bolts rattling down the highway. I imagine a scrapyard will pick them up for pennies because that’s about all the good for.
  5. I have a friend who was employed by YRC until yesterday. The company has been mismanaged and dying for years. They have been repeatedly bailed out by the federal government (most recently $700 million in Covid money) and the Union (multiple concessionary contracts) and the union didn’t so much kill them as refuse to bail them out again letting them drown under their own ineptitude. Their customers knew what was coming and over the last year they’ve lost 30% of their volume and over the last number of years have shrank to 9% market share. Yellow was always going to die, it was simply a matter of when.
  6. Is the charge a felony, or have a possible sentence of incarceration for more than 1 year? Those are the disqualifying factors at play in the 4473 questions. TICS may still deny based on the active case, even though by rights they shouldn't. But if you can answer those questions honestly you can know that you aren’t committing a crime at least by attempting to complete the transaction.
  7. I wonder if Corey B. Trotz is licensed in Ohio.
  8. It was a helluva rough watch. I highly recommend seeing it.
  9. Nit picky is the name of the game when it comes to DOT. Most especially in Ohio. That said, if it was somewhere else, I would say the odds would be 50/50 that the officer would’ve just given him a warning and told him to go get it fixed at the next truck stop.
  10. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvFTUw8gh1q/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Western Express is a Nashville based company. Better than average chance the driver is a Tennessean.
  11. When you drive a CMV, DOT can pull you over at any time for any or no reason at all and perform a roadside inspection. It isn’t like someone in their POV. Totally different rule set for CMVs. That mud flap is a violation in and of itself. That kind of thing is also generally a red flag that more violations are likely to be found because it’s the sort of thing that should be found and corrected during the legally mandated pre-trip inspection.
  12. You’re right. The officer’s excessive use of force by sending in his K9 to attack a subject who was fully surrendered, non-resistant, and in the custody of another officer is far worse.
  13. This is one of those instances where I think many folks have a problem with looking at, and analyzing things in an honest manner. They always want to find a singular person to blame for the entirety of the situation. The reality is the guy who ran and the k9 officer were both wrong in their actions. The actions of either is neither excused nor justified by the actions of the other. Each must be investigated, charged, and prosecuted where appropriate independently and in isolation of the other
  14. The wife and I have decided to go see it this weekend.
  15. People like this…. https://www.bizpacreview.com/2023/07/18/bloomberg-hit-piece-against-sound-of-freedom-penned-by-pro-pedophile-advocate-report-1378468/
  16. White House press release from a meeting they held. Since senior leadership in LEAs are political positions and they oftentimes go on to seek positions of greater power, there is a name on this list of attendees that should be of specific interest to Tennesseans in general and Nashvillians in particular.
  17. Pm inbound because that’s effing amazing!
  18. Only a crackhead not related to the president would.
  19. I think of Glock a lot like AC/DC. They have their lane and stay in it by putting out the same thing every couple of years with only the slightest variations. Is there really any innovation? Not for decades, but when you grab their latest release, you know exactly what you’re gonna get.
  20. My biggest thing is that I’m glad to see another major manufacturer move into the chassis system. Sig and bespoke Glock clone manufacturers have been doing it long enough to show the viability. This is the direction I want to see widely adopted in the industry. It’s the completely logical way to do a polymer framed gun. Giving pistols AR levels of modularity would be amazing.
  21. The review embargoes dropped, and I’ve seen a couple videos on it. I ain’t mad at it.
  22. Nah. If Joe was shotgunning nose beers, he wouldn’t be mumbling and stumbling like the town drunk even though he doesn’t drink. The booger sugar is quite famous for putting quite a bit of pep in your step.
  23. @Snavebaonce again I greatly appreciate your willingness to share information that you know with us. This is information I don’t think many of us have seen adequately explained, or even disseminated very much at all by the authorities. I believe a greater effort to be more forthcoming with these details would go along way towards quieting down some of the conspiracy theories that abound. Wouldn’t cure at all, we all know it wouldn’t. I do believe it would help though. The lack of openness and transparency about why certain information is not being publicly disseminated, combined with the legislative efforts from Governor Lee with regard to the special session, and the red flag law only compound the ideas and suspicions that nefarious action is afoot. so once again, I know it has to be difficult for you to engage with some of the speculation that goes on around the subject here, so you have my gratitude for your willingness to share what you know with the rest of us.
