  1. I hope this kid has a good supply of burn gel. Sooner or later he's going to need it.
  2. I might rather have the plain stealth version as I think more about it. I may have to go check it out when I'm down there next.
  3. I'll play 1. Hero 1911 - CBOB - may not count towards future purchases since my order is already in 2. Sprinfield Scout Squad - walnut stock 3. Kimber Ultra Covert II 4. Rohrbaugh R9s Stealth Elite 5. A .458 SOCOM upper
  4. Hotshot's mention of the mini chainsaw is a great one. It will rip through a 4 inch log in seconds. In addition to that, though you need a larger fixed blade knife. I always remember what one of my first survival instructors told me - You can always do a small knife job with a big knife, but you can never do a big knife job with a small knife. Your brand and preference may vary. I personally perfer the R5-5 from Jeff Randall at RAT Cutlery.
  5. A modern Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation such as those that supply beef that goes to McDonalds and practically every other restaurant and grocery store in the U.S. does include beef tallow in the feed mixture that it gives its animals. This fat is in a processed form, but it is certainly a bovine product. This is an email that was fabricated and designed to get people fired up about a boycott. The funny thing is that if the typical consumer had any idea of the assembly line their McDonald's cheeseburger went through to get to the wrapper in their hands, there is no way they would put it in their mouth.
  6. Congratulations. We need more people with your commitment and love of country. Remember, Basic Training is kind of like a game. The faster you figure out their rules and play by them the happier you will be and better you will do. Good luck and godspeed. Semper Fi.
  7. For a slightly different option, I've got Crimson Trace grips on my MKIII. And a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite upper. With the Volquertsen kit, it's a race dragon that is an absolute blast to shoot.
  8. If you decide you want to try pocket carry, let me know. I've got an extra Meco pocket holster made for the MDE. I'd be happy to let you try it out and if you like it I would make you a good deal. I've got several DM Bullard holsters and have been well pleased with each of them.
  9. I usually pocket carry mine in a holser by Robert Meco. In the back pocket it is perfect.

    22lr Handgun

Ruger MKIII is one of the best you will find. The Walther P22 is popular, though can be finicky. A lot of people love the Browning Buckmark, and many like the Neos. I've shot both, but never really grown attached to either. The Colt Woodsman and Iver Johnson Trailmaster are great guns that have roughly 6" barrels. If I had to give up all my .22LR pistols and keep only one, it would likely be my tricked out MKIII. They are a pain to disassemble when they are new, but they are upgradeable, parts are readily available, and can be very accurate.
  11. Send a message to David Bullard to get a Tuckable IWB for the Micro Eagle. He doesn't have it listed on the site, but I'm pretty sure he can make it, as he makes a pocket holster for it currently, and he lists a Tuckable for the P3AT. He should be able to make exactly what you need. DMBullardLeather@aol.com He is pretty covered up, so it usually takes him a couple of days to respond. I've never shot mine two handed, but I imagine it was awkward at best.
  12. Inova x1 comes in blue LED that is the correct wavelength for spotting bodily fluids, is small (1 AA) and extremely bright. About $20. If you have a choice, get the spot version as opposed to the flood version. Amazon.com: Inova X1 LED Flashlight - Black: Sports & Outdoors
  13. Not a PPS - Barrel visible through ejection port is coated on the PPS. My vote is for the Grendel P-10
  14. Everytime you strap on your weapon, you become an ambassador for all of us - especially those of you who regularly open carry. I don't think it matters or not whether he was law enforcement or not, or whether you have the obligation to show him your permit. A security guard or property owner can ask you to leave, and escalating and causing a scene does nothing for you or the rest of us. Use it as an opportunity to educate someone who may not know the law. To the original poster - well played. I think you made the right decision.
  15. National Firearms Act Branch Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives P.O. Box 530298 Atlanta, GA 30353-0298 It should be just like it is listed on the Form 4.
  16. Tom is a great guy, and it's in the neighborhood as a bonus. He can get just about anything that he doesn't have in stock pretty quickly.
  17. Certainly one of the issues that makes Chik-fil-a stand out is that they require their franchisees to literally start at the bottom. The owner of the store you are eating in has probably worked at Chik-fil-a going back to high school.
  18. Walmart Nolensville Rd. has a couple dozen bulk packs of Federal 55gr 223 @ $39.97/100. Not bad for plinking stuff.
