I went with the Mega-Ten lower and upper sets awhile back. Have not had the chance to work on it yet, but it is compatible with both DPMS and Armalite parts, and it take the magpul mags. There is a website that couls be of help, I think it is called AR10parts.com or something like that. I have not been researching lately, work and all, but a quick seach would give you much ideas.

That is just beautiful.

As everyone else has recommended, keep the S&W, never get rid of a hard to find item, specially if you got it for a really good price, unless you are in a real bad jam.

Danner used to make really great boots but now I have lost confidance in their newer stuff. I never found it functional to have one pair of boots for multi season or tasks. I have my summer boots, ones with Gore-Tex for fall or early winter and then insulated ones for winter. Right now I am using Oakly for summer, Lowa, Merrell and Keen for fall and winter.

IMO it would be only approperiate if the seller and the store did not agree to a price that you could approach the seller and make an offer. Especially if you are planning to keep visiting that same store in the future.

I have Volquertsen trigger parts on mine, they make a whole complete drop in trigger pack, that people say is very nice. don't have first hand experience though.

Looking forward to it opening, indoor ranges are fun, I used to manage one, you can shoot there when it is raining, cold or hot outside. I am hoping they have longer lanes for small caliber rifles as well.

It is human nature to seek the advise of others. Plus when people are asking they are actually seeking to gather knowledge from the experiences of other. It is like learn from experiences of others and mistakes so you wont make the same mistakes.

Because they make ugly chrome handguns with fake mother of pearl grips and gold accents.

If you have kids or pets and don't want to use chemicals, then pour some flour on the ant hill and watch them disappear. Make sure it is fine flour, I hvae used it and to my surprise it works. Apparently the flour particles get stuck to their antenae or or thier mouth and kills them. Also I hear simple green works well.

Good buy, they are supposed to have a 1moa out the box. very nice rifles.

Buy an A2 style AR. There are a few different ones out there with different price ranges. I don't know why anyone would want a beat up M16 parts kit. Most are used and abused, if they were not the military would have still kept using them. IMO it is not worth buying, just buy a regular AR that has the A2 upper and live happily.

Five-Seven is a decent gun, fun to shoot, very accurate. Mine has some problems with light strikes, not sure if it is the gun or the ammo (FN Blue Tipped practice rounds) The bullet is pretty soft and when shooting at phone books they don't penetrate through the phone book. They make frangable ammo for it if over penetration is a concern of yours. I use mine just for target shooting, as I have others I trust more for home defense. On the other hand since it is soo light, it is the only handgun I have that my wife entertains the use of.

I have 2 P99s one compact it 9mm and a fullsize in 40SW. I have big hands but both fit decently, I have them both in QA but I like the feel of the AS trigger a little better( One plus for QA is double strike, AS does not have that capability ). They are very accurate, fun to shoot, easy to take apart and good looking guns. And since they are German made so they are of great quality.

I like having anywhere from 5-10 mags per handgun, but with mag prices it is kinda hard. Therefore since long ago when I find mags for a good price I buy them even if I don't own the pistol for it. Ofcourse they are mags for guns I am willing to buy one day.

This is good news, I've been looking for a STI dealer. Maybe I'll go check them out next time I am home. Been wanting a Tactical as of late.

Arsenal is in the top bracket as far as AKs go. They make some of the better AKs out there. They are way too pricey IMO, then again gun prices are all over the place these days.

And hopefully the next president.

That is the reason I stick with chemical spray, I'd love shooting those lil buggers, but in the city, the SWAT would be on me like white on rice.

It looks like a good concept, but I think a good AR10 style rifle would do about the same job with a faster rate of fire.

I personaly like fluted bull barrels, but with a bull barrel you have to keep in mind that you'd need to change the stock as well. For accuracy longer barrel, for manuverablity shorter barrel. I think I have a 20 inch barrel on mine but could be 18 I just can't remember. As mentioned before get some volquartsen parts for the trigger as well, they'd be very helpfull. Also think about what you want to do with your rifle, are you going to be shooting it off hand, or mostly supported. Heavier barrels would be great for supported shooting, but would tire you faster if you are shooting off hand.

That is some barrel, varments would not have any place to hide from it. I agree that a heavier stock like the PRS would be much better, also it would help with balance. A nice bench gun indeed.
