There is one thing in it about allowing a tax free succession to someone in the estate.  Not that I like the rest of it, but that is one positive.  We all need to comment on it and push our reps yet again.  In the end, it is an Attorney General decision I think so we know which way this will go.

I agree, I wouldn't blame people for not working if they don't know if they will get paid. Do we know if they are considered essential. It seems the ATF would be just because of the tax they collect.

Somehow with the fact that they even answered, I am wondering if there isn't a "policy" of telling people they are shut down. I am waiting in two form 4's so I hope it isn't true, but the way things are now, it wouldn't surprise me if they are still working, but want the public to think they aren't.

I have an 8.5" McGowen on order to build my 300 BLK pistol when our uppers and lowers get in. Mine will be threaded as I plan to shoot it mostly suppressed.  I went with 8.5 to keep it as short as possible with the suppressor on it, but yet from what I read allow it to function properly if it isn't.  I hope to have everything up and running by the end of the year.

  Sorry, the officer did not trespass as they have the right to enforce the laws on said property if it is in violation of city codes and they also have the right to take said property if they so choose. So let's not get too crazy with it was illegal, blah, blah, blah.  How is he being denied due process.  He can go to court and fight it if he wants.  They aren't saying he can't.   I won't disagree that there was a better way to handle this.  Take the sign to the front door, talk with the owner if possible, and if not leave a note explaining the issue.  But, that didn't happen and it didn't make it illegal.     I am with Robert on this one.  When you decide to live in a city, with city ordinances, you agree to abide by those ordinances whether you like them or not.  I live in an area where you aren't allowed to have pink houses and you have to mow your yard or they can mow it for you and charge you.  Don't like the rules, don't live here.  There is a reason people choose to live in areas with rules, they want their property values to remain high.  Don't like the rules, work to get them changed, but that doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want.  Well, you can, but then you lose your sign.   I don't care if someone wants to have 10 rusted out cars in their yard, good for them.  I choose to live where the law says you can't do that.  This guy chose to live where you can't have a sign in the easement.  In fact, I know of many locations where even Political signs can only be up for 30 days before the election and must be taken down the day after the election.  You can call it free speech all you want, but free speech is not absolute no matter how much you think it is.  Should it be, maybe, but that also means you have to accept any and all other "free speech", even that you don't agree with.  I suspect some here would not like the free speech argument so much if their new neighbor was a gay rights activist who put a 5' rainbow sign in their front yard that said "I love me some man on man action".  I don't know, maybe you would since that is "liberty".   Point is, we live by varying laws based on where we live.  This guy decided to live where he can't have a sign on the easement.  If he doesn' like it, he can move it to somewhere on his property that is legal, move, or don't put up the sign.  The cop enforcing the law (granted I agree I don't like the fact they didn't leave a note or attempt to resolve it in person) is not tyranny.

  I think it would stand too.  I'm not a lawyer either, but at this point it is all just hearsay and I suspect the Will would hold up in court.  Hard lessons to learn sometimes.   I think it is definitely worth a good look at the will though by an attorney just to make sure the i's were dotted and t's crossed all within the realm of the law.  Maybe they did something not up to snuff and it would null and void it, or at least partially void it.

When I bought my Mark III Hunter from Whittakers a few years back it came with the scope rail.  I think they still do.  I would call the manager at Academy and have a nice conversation with him.  If they are taking components out of a gun to make it cheaper, I think they are going to have "big" issues with vendors.  That is just complete BS as far as I am concerned.  If Academy in Smyrna doesn't fix it, I would go to Corporate.     I think Ruger will take care of it for you, but that is just unacceptable on Academy's part.

Those are interesting guns.  Not long ago, my Aunt asked me if I would take my Uncles 24E 20/22Mag home with me and fix it up.  I was very familiar with the gun as he has used it to deer hunt forever.  Keep in mind he is 78 and I am 38.  What I didn't know was that my Aunt gave that gun to my Uncle as their wedding present 50 years ago and she wanted to have it cleaned up and fixed to give back to him this year for their anniversary.  No pressure on me.....   Anyway, this thing had duct tape holding the forearm on and cracked buttplate, worn wood, you name it.  This was a farm gun and had been used.  I have to say though, that after I fixed it back up with a new forearm locking mechanism, new buttplate, refinish of the wood, and just good cleaning of the metal, I was pretty impressed.  My experience with them wasn't with the pristine one you have, but I now kind of have a soft spot for them in general.  Your's is a very nice example.

It stinks to hear that. I hope they get by ok. I think the bigger problem is that this will not create an issue for enough on the fence people to change the voter base. They were already working to pay their way. Now they have to work more and do with less. I am afraid there are still too many who think they deserve the handouts to change things drastically. Plus, add in that millions of women will vote for Hillary just because she is a woman and it gets worse. I hope I am wrong, but if I was to bet on it, I would be hard pressed to put much money on the Republicans the way they are now.

I put Michelin M/S 2's on my Titan in April and they have been great. I got mine at Costco for just over $1000 ( around $1015 to be exact) out the door. I should add, that included new tpms stems as well. It was the best otd price I could find anywhere. They did have to order my size though.

All kinds of bad things happen all over.  I am not going to quit living my life and avoid every gun free zone because someone could do something bad.  I am not a big fan of huge crowds, but that is mostly because I think people are rude and have no consideration for others, not because I have some concern that one of them may be out to get us.  My opinion only, but if you won't go somewhere just because someone could see it as a soft target, you have already lost.  If it is my time, it is my time.  I can get broadsided by a truck tomorrow.  It seems that a lot of people don't have enough to worry about to me.     Don't get me wrong, I don't see this as a reason for the government to do whatever they want and "save us from ourselves".  Bad shit will happen and there isn't anything any of us can do about it.  Go live life and enjoy it!

I think the video below it was pretty good too.  I am not against open carry and do so sometimes myself, but I do agree with the guy who owns the gun store.  If you didn't watch the second video, I think it most closely hits on the debate between gun owners.

  I agree, but with his statement of the budget being tight, I still think it's a decent deal.  I suspect if he is shooting benchrest he would already know what scales are better than others.  I think for the average Joe, a 505 or 1010 will do just fine.  Granted, it may still be off by up to .2, it's probably more in the .1-.15 range.  I think that is fine for general shooting.

I also would recommend the RCBS 505.  Not the cheapest, but works consistently.  I use it to verify my initial loads on my RCBS Chargemaster and have never had an issue.
