I'd take part in a league.  A little money on it always gives me some incentive to keep up late in the year, otherwise I get bored with it.

I have a friend who has some land that he needs some dozer work done on in the Columbia/Spring Hill area.  He needs a long driveway cut up a hill on the entrance to his land.  He has been having trouble finding someone or getting anyone to call him back.   If anyone has a recommendation of someone who does this work in that area, please let me know.    Thanks!

If it is happening that often I would be pissed too.  The reason they also run your DL is that Tag is only associated with the registered person, so just because the tag comes back clean doesn't mean the driver is clean.  Think of a stolen car.   With that said, I would start keeping track of each and every stop.  Is it in one area, same PD, officer, etc.  If you really aren't doing anything wrong it will only be your word against theirs.  I would start with complaints to the PD's involved.  Be polite.  Acting like an ass will only get you worse treatment (not saying you are, but try to avoid it, I know it is easy to get pissed, but it never helps).

Completely agree although there are times where by some miracle I have found a gun at Bass Pro for even less than Buds.  Doesn't happen often, but it does once every 10 years when all of the planets align correctly.  I have never seen 1 gun at Gander I have even given consideration.

I looked into it quite a bit, but ended up going with Chip Cain to do mine (as have many others on TGO).  With the money I was spending on these items and the reason I was doing it (having family be able to be in possession of my NFA Items), the extra cost and piece of mind was worth well more than the little I would have saved over the long run.  I just didn't want to "hope" it was right, I wanted to "know" it was right.   Not saying these wouldn't hold up legally, but I wasn't willing to be the test case.

Usually the Great American shows are very small.  Unless I lived in Mt. Pleasant or Columbia, I would pass based on my previous experience at their shows in Columbia.  Then again, it only takes one good find to make it worth it.  

Neither should be in the school, but they absolutely should not allow one and not the other.  I don't suspect it will be up long.  I think the bigger problem is the same people complaining probably want the 10 Commandments up and not the whatever the Islam one's are.  Can't have it both ways, either they all need to go up or none need to go up.

I have one with night sights and really like it.  I have shot it in steel competitions and never had an issue.  I have other Sigs, but this is my truck gun.  Not too expensive and I am not worried about it getting scratched up.  I actually mounted a kydex holster in the console of my truck and it works perfect.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

Not to start this again, but I will take the bait and I know I am in the minority on TGO on this.  I am tired of the "my vehicle is private property" bs argument for this issue.  Yes, it is private property, but it doesn't matter in this case.  If I expect anyone to respect my private property while on it or in it, I need to respect theirs when I am on or in their property.  End of story.  It may be your right to own and bear arms, but it isn't your right on or in my private property.  In fact, it is the companies private property that you are on.  Saying it is just concrete rectangles, etc, is a bunch of BS.  That sounds like a Reverend Al and JJ argument.  If you don't like their policies to the extent you feel you are unable to work there, find a new job.  It's really that simple.  If it is Government property then for me that is a different discussion and I will leave that out of this.   I wholeheartedly agree that your home is off limits.  That's a very different matter, but if they don't want you to have cigarettes on their property, so be it, even if it is in your car or on your person.  Their policy may be dumb, but you don't have to work there.  I agree they shouldn't be able to search vehicles without probable cause and it should only be by a LE Officer.  We should be working to clear that up, but this whole, my car is my private property and everyone must respect that,  but I don't have to respect theirs is nothing but hypocrisy.  If you come to my house and start saying anything you like, that may be your first amendment right, but I can tell you to leave or not come on my property if you are going to do that.  I can even do that if I hire you to do an odd job as a stipulation of employment.  Don't like it, go somewhere else.  If you don't leave, I can have the police to force you to leave.  No difference in that and this in my book.  Unless you want to change TN from an At Will employment State, it doesn't matter, get over it.  But no, many would like to whine and cry about how it is unfair.  Many are starting to sounds like the occupy movement.  It's our right to the 1%'s money....blah, blah, blah.  The only people who will ever have an issue with this are the ones that can't keep their mouth shut.  I suspect there are thousands of people who carried to work before this and amazingly we don't hear of hardly a single instance of an issue. (I didn't research it in detail, but is has not been a major issue up to this point as far as I know).     My point, keep your mouth shut and move on.  If you really have an issue with it, find a job where you don't.  Not all companies care.

I would go see a lawyer.  Sounds to me like you could possibly go after an abandonment resolution.  It won't be easy for the kids if they have to go to court, but if he is unfit and you have no other choice, there is no reason he should get the Soc Sec that is meant to take care of them.     The only advise I would have is WRITE DOWN every call, interaction, detail, time, date, etc of any and all communications you have had with him as well as all statements by the kids and the date/time it happened.  Full documentation is your best friend in court and not just he said/she said. 

I know we have a lot of people on hear who run their own business.  I am in the process of considering starting my own consulting company, but would really like to talk with a Business and Tax Consultant to determine the best way to setup my company as well as better understand the tax implications.  The only caveat is that I work directly with a foreign company, so if anyone also does that and has someone who they work with, that would be even better.    Essentially, I just want to make sure it is worth it financially compared to what I make today after I take into consideration personal/corporate tax, benefits, etc. Does anyone use someone or multiple people that they would recommend.  I suspect they could be different people from a Business and tax perspective.     Any info would be helpful. I am in the Middle TN area, so Nashville/Franklin area would be great.   Thanks, Jamie

  I agree with this.  I say all of the time "I am not racist, but I can be prejudice".  I don't care if you are black, white, Hispanic, Asian, or any other race.  If you are stupid, you are stupid, if you are lazy, you are lazy, if you are a waste on society, you are a waste on society.  Dress like a fool, act like a fool, or talk like a fool, I am going to treat you like a fool, regardless of your race.   Some say it shouldn't matter how you dress, or what you look like.  I agree in theory, but as we know, perception is reality.  If you don't want to be perceived as a thug or ignorant, it's pretty easy to fix it.  It isn't about what you wear so much as how you wear it.  It's not what you say, but how you say it.  Wear pants that fit, walk like a normal human being, and talk like you would to your grandma and I don't think we would have these issues.  I guess saying this probably makes me a racist by Big Al and JJ.

Yeah, it definitely makes you pay attention more.  I went to college in Florida and had my foot covered more than once not paying attention.  It's amazing how much pain it can be for such little things.
