  1. Champions Choice has small rifle and small handgun primers. Your limited to a 5000 primer purchase. They are in La vegrne. I picked up my share friday and there was plenty left. Champion's Choice - Home Page
  2. Walmart at the Nolensville-Bell Road intersection has 9mm, .45, and .40 in hundred round white boxes. They also had numerous Federal 550 .22 packs.
  3. I was at Ft. Campbell clinic this morning when this came on the news, some guys had hurt knees, backs, different pains and whatnot. When the story started unfolding, I'd say every soldier in there was ready to make a trip and talk with the HOA..... More upset were the civilians working behind the counter.
  4. I would suggest buying the book "BACKYARD BBQ - the art of Smokology" by Richard W. McPeake. A lot of info on smokers, smoking, charcoal, recipes and explains the whyand how-to. As for me, nothing beats charcoal.
  5. Maybe TGO should get a " Wife Support Group " for when the men bring home handgun/rifle out of the blue. Although I've have'nt made that big a surprise purchase yet............ Maybe one of the other wives who understand would be able to calm my wife down before she kills me. Awesome rifle.
  6. Nice.........
  7. Hey man, I'll be looking for your dad at the parade. My unit will be wearing maroon berets and singing Airborne cadence............ awesome truck.
  8. You singing or announcing? J/K, gonna be there.............
  9. Everytime I've ordered in uniform at a Chick'Fila, they always give me a huge discount. By myself or with a group.
  10. I bought one a while back, and I need to SBR the darn thing. Shooting it isn't bad, but at 25yds, it was hard. I've shot over 350rnds and no issues. Waiting till it FTF, FTE or Stove Pipes before I clean it just to see how long before it gives me problems.
  11. I'm up at 5 a.m. cleaning my handguns and I want to hit up the gun show and Murfreesboro then Jack Daniells BBQ Invitational later on. Why am I up still? Damn third shift...
  12. Gonna be there saturday and eat. Thanks for the reminder, I'll look for ya.....
  13. I have the P13-45 Limited Edition and I've sent it back to the factory twice before they finally fixed the feed ramp/top left barrel issue. Now it runs like a champ and I would'nt trade it for anything. The customer support is pretty good, they seem to stand behind their product. I was out shipping and insurance but when I EDC it for 4 years, I was'nt worried about it functioning. It's still my favorite range gun. I bought it because two of my friends had different Para's and they ran like a top too.
  14. The springs in the magazines can't keep up with the cycle rate of the M249, hope the new troops have someone experianced to tell them so. As for the reliability of the weapon, I belived in it so much that I kept mine even though my duties changed while overseas. When your firing from a vehicle, or covering your buddies movement, theres nothing like walking in the rounds to your target. I'm 5'5', 155lbs and maneuvering the M249 with 700 rnds and gear is manageable. Not sure how easily an M240b would be moved around.
  15. I've looked at the ingredients for this every day since the post came up. Gonna surprise my family by cooking it this saturday. Truly inspirational.............
  16. Bought a Glock 26 for everyday carry - got it for it's reputation, ease of carry because of size. Got hit with the 1911 bug and bought a P13-45 - present to myself after deployment. The .45 has history behind it, it's finicky, but learn the quirks and it will run. Then it was the Rohrbaugh R9S - started having back issues from jumping out of C-130's and the chiropracter said no wallets in the back pocket and the IWB carry might also effect my posture so I went with a pocket carry gun. Went through a few guns that did not fit my needs or were bought on impulse, but the new gun buyer should not feel like they had a bad purchase/decision, sometimes it takes some cash to learn.
  17. Got good thoughts for you buddy, I know it's hard, let the good times play over........
  18. If it happens, I'm in. It would be a good way to find other areas to fish. My kids and I usually do Caney Fork year round and Priest Dam in the winter when they stock trout.
  19. I'm gonna be in Columbia at that time, but for the Jailbreak Triathlon, just my luck. Thanks for the info....
  20. I'm with ya - your sons lucky to have you. I miss my kids when they were that age, now I have to plan with them if I want to just hang out. I know one thing, you can't tell them enough how much you love them or give them too much hugs.
  21. No quickclot - looks like I need to re-evaluate my kit........
  22. When I was in Iraq, the medical team had quick clots, powder that you sprinkle on the wounds to stop bleeding. I need to order some of those, and the new issued tourniquet, the kind that you can apply with one hand.
  23. I'm enlisted in the Army and marc is my first name. One of the best "accidents" that happened to me - recruiter called, I had no plans, joined and realized that it was a lifestyle where you can surround yourself with people that want to better themselves and whats around them.
