  1. Is that a 2.0 k/d with a good win loss ratio or a ####ty win loss?
  2. Mine was 11.50 shipped. I used the make offer feature and just kept haggling. Took a while but it worked.

Welcome from Memphis and Michie! I've got some land out there and a bunch of family.
  4. I bought it off eBay. But its shipping from China.
  5. You might be able to do it if you sew in some velcro and put it in diagonally but its not long enough for a 16 inch upper.
  6. On its way from China. Gonna take forever to get here.
  7. the color looks good but the stiple looks a bit strange. Kinda like a sponge.
  8. On the issues... 2. Check to see if the mag is pushing the slide stop up far enough to fully engage it. I would bet that it isn't and thats why the slide slams home when ejecting. 3. Shouldn't be that bad. Give Ruger a call. On your observations... 3. Yep, 45 is that dirty. Plus you can see the dirt alot easier with the stainless versus a black gun.
  9. I'm with you Dolomite but I haven't been able to find anything that says or pics that might show. I do know however, that the tension system they are using is very different from the pac lite. This is the best I can find and its not large enough to make anything out. On second thought, it looks like its thicker than the pac lite liner. And it looks like a steel breech face.
  10. I'm picking mine up slightly used from an individual. The weight isn't an issue for me as it will be on an already heavy Ruger SR556. I'm also assembling a buddies 300blk upper soon and we will be using it on that as well.
  11. Nah. I'm on a bit of a budget right now. But I'll get one eventually.
  12. Don't do it. My checking account already hates me cause of all the knives I've been buying. I need to go on a freeze.
  13. I saw the XL on BladeForums today and I want one bad. It will be a while but I'll eventually get one. A folder that size is just too cool.
  14. Ruger just announced a new 22/45 variant. Its an aluminum receiver and barrel assembly that weighs in at almost 10 ounces less than the 22/45 TB. The receiver is gold anodized (i kinda like it but I know a lot of people wont). The barrel liner is held under tension from what I read and the end is threaded 1/2x28. this will be a great option for people that don't want the hassle of buying a complete gun and then getting a pac lite. MSRP is $469 but thats only 30 dollars more than the TB. Expect street prices to be mid to high 300s. Considering a pac lite is 285 or more, I think its a great deal.
  15. Ill be mailing mine for the same can in about a week.
  16. Its photoshopped. Half the magwell is missing.
  17. Thanks for posting that pic Mac. I just ordered one because of you.
  18. Very nice.
  19. So where does the magazine go?
  20. I prefer mid length for purely aesthetic reasons. Carbine length gas systems on a 16 inch barrel look goofy to me.
  21. Check my posts on RFC. That's been my plan since I got the email from Ruger. I've already been measuring and stuff. I'm pretty sure I can pull it off but I still need to talk to a suppressor manufacturer.
  22. Yep they seem to have removed the hour requirement completely. I read the Eagle Workbook just now and it says explicitly that there is no hour requirement and noone can tell you there is. What did you all do for your project? For my project, the city of Millington (just outside of Memphis) needed to inform their residents of the importance of smoke detectors. The Millington Fire Department had some that they would install free of charge if a home didn't have one. My job was organize a group of scouts to visit every address in the Millington city limits. I got Kinkos to donate copies of literature for us. I got every troop in the area to assist on a few Saturdays by going door to door. And the city didn't have enough smoke detectors either so I got Wal Mart, Lowes, Home Depot and Home Quarters (WOW that was a long time ago) to donate some to the cause. I think I ended up getting around 300 donated detectors. I worked with the Fire Chief to get a listing of every address in the city. Once I had all of the literature, the addresses and the volunteers, I broke the city up into small sections and assigned each troop a section. Over the course of a month, we hit something like 15,000 addresses. My job, after the volunteers had talked to them, was to go to the houses that needed a smoke detector and schedule a time for a fireman to come by and install the detector. When all was said and done, the fire chief believed that there were less than 5 percent of homes left without a working smoke detector. I absolutely loved my project and was very proud of the entire thing.

  25. I absolutely hate this thread. This thread was the first I had ever seen Hinderer knives. Now I'm hooked. Its gonna be a long time before I can afford the real deal and a long time before I can justify the cost of the ZT knives. But I've already ordered the Hinderer Gerber collabs and am impatiently tapping my foot waiting on the Kershaw Cryo.
