  1. You make a lot of assumptions.
  2. I disagree on motorcycles.
  3. Stanley Black and Decker also owns Mac Tools. and these glory days of Craftsman being made in America are kind of a myth. Craftsman was rebranded tools for most of their existence. Every machinist box craftsman marketed was made by Kennedy. New Britain was a big supplier for Craftsman. Craftsman tools were made in the USA but usually by someone else. When craftsman started taking over production themselves, that’s when quality started to decline. They never really made great tools on their own, in the US or abroad. Whether the new Texas plant produces quality tools remains to be seen. and yes, rebuild kits are available for most of the classic craftsman tools.

My CZ family grew. I really like this one.
  5. Care to expand? What rigamarole? Residency is covered since we have never lived anywhere other than TN. The multiple owner thing is her and her two brothers so I'm pretty sure that's within the third degree. My question is whether TWRA considers her the owner since her name is explicitly on the deed. It's the difference between me being a child or a grandchild and one is covered and one is not.
  6. Here is a question about the landowner exemption. Current law exempts landowners and their children from having to buy a license. The land that I hunt was my grandparents. They have both passed away but when they did, we never went through probate to change the names on everything. There was no will, so now the property belongs to the estate of my grandparents. My mom and her two brothers own the estate. So would I be able to use the "and children" part of the landowner exemption to skip the license part? Let me also say that there is possibility that I will hunt other pieces of land than the ones that my family owns so I still buy a license, but this is just something that I am curious about.
  7. So far, the people that I have talked to at TWRA do not know the answer to the question.
  8. I haven't really seen this spelled out clearly anywhere and I do plan to call and ask but I figured I'd ask here just in case. On a mandatory physical check in weekend, you kill the big buck you have been waiting for and were planning to have mounted. It gets tested and comes back positive. Do you still get to keep it to mount? Or is it surrendered to TWRA?
  9. I've had a greenworks for years now. I'm happy with it. I paid 99 bucks for it like 6 years ago. Still works okay. But it is getting tired (at connections) so I think its time to get something else.
  10. I think its only catching at the very end of the pull, so I don't think its noticeable on the pull, only on the reset.
  11. A buddy and I went to the range this weekend and shot his Shield 45 for a while. He has had trigger problems before and it has been back to Smith twice to fix this same issue. Was hoping yall might be able to tell me your thoughts. What do you think is causing the trigger to pause before it resets? Its a little hard to see in the video but the trigger hangs every single time. My finger is at the front of the trigger guard nearly every time before the trigger moves.
  12. Galili came up with this as a joke for women in drills and parades.
  13. Yep. Which as far as I’m concerned is not a true out the door price.
  14. Yessir. All of the used stuff is the “out the door” price tag. Be aware that it’s a lie and you’ll have to add ten dollars for the out the door price. They’ve got a Ruger 44 carbine I really wanted to bring home but they don’t do layaway on used guns.
  15. I love 22s and Rugers and Tennessee. But not like that.
  16. So this is the dedicated gun shop part of a pawnshop. I just went by and checked out a few things. Here is a quick and dirty review. I asked to see the CZ52 in the case and the kid pulled it out and immediately pointed it at my face, for an extended period of time. Long enough that I moved because he wasn't. We chatted for a while and I checked out a few other guns and then decided to make a purchase. The gun I was buying was used so it had a price tag that says "out the door." I told him give me the 4473, I'll take it. I fill out the 4473 while he copies my license and when he returns my license and takes the 4473, he tells me its 10 dollars for the background check. I told him that I knew and I'd just pay for it all at once. He says no, I have to charge you for that now. I've never had to pay it up front but I don't mind. I figured maybe that policy was born of the area and the pawn shop business. Background check comes back quickly and I hand him the "out the door" price minus ten dollars and he tells me its not enough. I give him the extra ten and tell him I thought the out the door price was out the door and I was told I was wrong. Finally I asked about a gun on the wall. Its a Springfield M1A1 but the tag says "Springfield MA1 Grand." I'm not a know-it-all so I asked if it was a special edition or something and I was told no, its a typo, its just supposed to say M1 Garand. Then I went to know-it-all mode and told them that is NOT an M1 Garand, they are quite different rifles. And the guys working seemed to be completely unaware. "Really? I didn't know. Looks like a Garand to me." Overall, its a nice shop with some friendly employees but I didn't really enjoy my experience there.
  17. Wow. That is terrible. I...just.....I....wow
  18. You going to personally reimburse me for everything they do that wastes money? The point isn't the pennies it cost me for this one thing. Its all of the things. If you are okay with this, it wasn't a waste of money for you, you don't get to ever complain that they waste money. Because whatever they were doing wasn't a waste to someone else, therefore it wasn't a waste, period.
  19. You used a whole lot of words to not explain anything relevant to my post. The gesture, and it is only a gesture, was a net negative on the budget. Therefore, it cost me, as a tax paying citizen of TN money. Money that would be better spent fifty other ways. It is governmental waste, and should be chastised as such.
  20. Wasn't separation of church and state as much about keeping the church out of government as it was keeping the government out of the church business? Regardless, thats not whats important here. I don't understand how its okay to complain that the government overspends on chair or toilet seats or whatever, but complaining that wasted time on a meaningless proclamation gets you chastised like you are the enemy. I appreciate a feel good gesture just as much as the next guy. But if given the opportunity, I'd rather spend my money on something else.
  21. Conspiracy theorists gonna conspiracy theory.
  22. Maybe the system could be geared more towards rehabilitation rather than incarceration. It's clear that the current system isn't a deterrent. I had a motorcycle stolen from my carport Erik. I now keep a motorcycle in my carport. I guess I deserve to have it stolen again.
  23. I wasn't implying that. If you inferred it, that's on you.
