  1. unless you drive a 3/4 ton or larger.
  2. This is kind of what I assume that they are doing. They are merging brands under one name. Everything has been coming out of the same factory for a while so just get rid of the multiple names.
  3. Amen!
  4. 6.5 Creedmoor This is the original Viper. Pre-PST series so its a discontinued model. It's max elevation adjustment is 65 MOA. But like I said, this scope is temporary until I can afford a Nightforce to throw on top. As for rings, These are low. And you can see there is still plenty of room around the bell and just enough clearance for the bolt throw.
  5. Well I couldn't take it anymore. Picked up a used Vortex Viper from a buddy so I can shoot until I get some money for some real glass. Got the gun Saturday night and put it all together Sunday. It's going to be a couple of weeks before I can make it to the range but I love it so far. I've got a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle which is the same base action, but its crazy how different the two guns are. The GSR has always had a very tight, not necessarily gritty but tight action. This one is closer to how some really high end guns feel. And the LRT has a two stage trigger and is way lighter than the GSR. The GSR is great for the woods and what its made it for and I enjoyed it as my bench gun. But this is a whole different world. I'm excited. The local range makes me qualify to go from 100 yards up to 600 yards so I've got some work to do but hopefully in a couple of months, I'll be putting together some midrange groups!

LER scopes take some getting used to it but it does work.
  7. Be careful with that. Technically, silencers have to be repaired by an SOT.
  8. Well you could always write me into your will. I'd be happy to inherit a can. haha
  9. That person in the ain't too bright. This is in regards to EXPORTS which is the opposite.
  10. Sorry I was at a meeting last night. I think you probably are going to be in the 100-150 dollar range (plus buyer pays transfer). I haven't dealt with a lot of shops but Wolf River Precision is one in the area, Arms Fair, Accent Guns on Summer, Richards Armory when they reopen in their new spot. Not sure who else. I know there are a lot more.
  11. I think you may be right. It's not there when he takes the shot. I hate bad editing.
  12. My favorite part of this is the stovepipe.
  13. Okay. First. Yes, you can absolutely transfer to an individual within the same state. Assuming that you were selling, and I was buying, I would pay you, we would fill out the Form 4 with you as the seller and me buyer and then wait for that paperwork to come back. You would retain possession until the Form 4 came back. It would be mailed to you and you would let me know when to come pick it and the can up. It's the same as buying from a shop, you just act as the shop. Looks like a nice can. Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to get what you want out of it. For that money, you start getting really close to some of the top end cans on the market. Because of the price of the stamp, cans don't do well on the secondary. And with your company being defunct, it makes that "lifetime purchase" a financial liability if anything goes wrong. The other thing working against it is the size. The trend in cans right now is K cans (short) or modular cans that can be shortened. A can that long isn't really tickling pickles these days. Personally, I think it would be great as the permanent can on my 77/22 since the length on the rifle isn't going to hurt anything. OH, and one more thing, do you know the materials?
  14. Give me details. Maybe we can skip the dealer and just do a F4.
  15. I think you meant literal.
  16. It's not that he's on a pedestal. But entertainers tend to touch us somehow. It could be because of something we saw from them around a big moment in our own lives or just because something they did was special to us without something going on in our lives. A lot of people grow up wanting to emulate entertainers. And that's not something new. Older men than myself talk about John Wayne the same way and post videos or memes of him and talk about how great society would be if we be like him. HE WAS AN ENTERTAINER. No one has the right to tell me how important someone should be in my life. And I certainly don't have the right to tell anyone else. Kobe didn't mean much to me. When it comes to basketball, I grew up with players that were retired before he made the league. But I do recognize that he was important to a lot of other people. Maybe to some of those people, his work was important because it was the escape from the news of service men's sacrifice, the stupid war on terror or whatever their daily drag was. You never know. I just checked the rule book and nowhere in it does it say that you can't mourn more than one loss at a time. So if people want to come here and express sympathy for Kobe's family and those that felt some personal connection to him, good for them. At the same time they could be mourning the loss of those service men. And who knows who else. But it's not my job to judge them for it and I certainly won't come on here and try to marginalize their loss or tell them they are problem because of it.
  17. Some of us have Jesus in our heart always and still make room for other humans. You know, as Jesus would want us to do.
  18. You misunderstood what he meant by "another player." Kobe was taking his 13 year old daughter to one of her games. So another player in this case is another 13 year old girl. Not a celebrity. Not someone rich and famous. Just a girl who wanted to play ball and got in the wrong vehicle. That's sad.
  19. That law most likely predates people buying trucks as status symbols or family vehicles too.
  20. Bingo.
  21. You haven't been to Austin lately, have you?
  22. NOT A LAWYER!!! I think that's correct, however don't get caught doing it. Pretty sure the ATF will flip if they ever catch someone doing it.
  23. Bringing this back. Does anyone on the forum have one? I can't find one in stock locally and want to get hands on before committing to the purchase.
  24. You said, and I quoted, "any bad uppers." I gave anecdotal evidence of ONE, disputing your claim. If you meant lines of uppers or manufacturers, I'm sorry, I misunderstood your post.
