  1. Glad you are OK.   I drive 60K a year and have seen some crazy ****. As much as I drive, I think to myself everyday, it's still the most dangerous thing I do.
  2. Thunder Valley in OH goes out to a mile. About 1.5 hrs outside Columbus and you can shoot without being a member.
  3. Caldwell is like a cheaper version of Harris. They work fine. I have one on my LWRC.
  4. Anybody have someone they can personally recommend for drywall? Just got burned on another project and need to find a trustworthy source.   Not a huge job. 24 x 32' (3) car garage. 3 walls and ceiling. In the Nashville/Hendersonville area.     Thanks,   Tempest.
  5. I use a Bushnell Trophy which is great out to 500 or so. Even use it out to 1,000 often and it's decent for the price. There are MUCH better spotting scopes but it's a decent scope for the price.   Next one will be batter glass and angled after having used some of them.
  6.   Don't misunderstand my comments above. I'm in full agreement with your sentiment. If you knew me you would agree. I'm just pointing out the world we live in now. You buy enough of something or ask about certain things, tabs are being kept, I can assure you.
  7. Let me add one thing for some to ponder...................   I've been in the chemical biz a LONG time and things have changed considerably in the last 10 years. I work for one of the world's largest chemical distribution companies and have sat through many meetings and specific training on regulated compounds. I can tell you there are "many" compounds that are being "watched" where they are sold, how much and by whom. There is a paper trail, trust me. I won't go into detail but there are certain questions one might ask from a given supplier that will result in a call directly to DHS.   Being in a legit biz and acquiring AN for use on farm etc. is one thing. However, this and other substances may generate the kind of attention you ultimately don't want. Tannerite is fun, used it many times. However, I'm going to let the owner of that company take the exam and answer those questions.  :)   Just my $.02.
  8. FYI, Aluminum powder is the smallest constituent.   It would also be my recommendation to not to mfg your own. Just my $.02.
  9. The dude ran almost in front of a Sprint Car probably doing 50 MPH on a race track. Feel bad for his family but I don't see much upside from that bad decision.  :(
  10.   Won't argue that. My wife's intercooled, turbo 4 cyl 4 door is faster than my bone stock '69 Road Runner. For a daily driver, that technology is hard to beat. However, there is no comparison in the fun and cool dept w/ the older Musclecars.
  11. Just some FYI.   Pontiac 3x2's were called Tri Power. Six Pack was Mopar.   The GTO was actually an option on the Tempest/LeMans in 1964 and was not an actual model until 1965.
  12. Not on an AR but we use one on a long range bolt rifle. They track awesome.
  13. Actually somebody did at that range. Was not me however.
  14. Cool stuff. I take print screens of video often and get some cool shots. My personal favorite.
  15. Pretty proud of my son. Today in the mail he got his expert classification from the NRA for 600 yard F class. He started last year, we got a little more serious this year and he's done better at every match this year. The neat part was, he only only shot (3) 600 yard matches this year and 2 out of 3 were w/ a Harris bipod in F/TR. If he was not hooked before (he was) he's really hooked now!
  16. I'm on the same page as some as the above.   I can tell you when I do them, 8 hrs is the min if they go on a grill/smoker (depending on your temp).
  17.   That's the one I go to. The guy that runs that dept is a pretty stand up guy. He does not hold stuff, it just sells fast.
  18.   Starting when? I have 4 and they are all incredibly accurate.
  19.   I've done that at the 1,000 yard range and really cant tell a difference. Not sure you would at 1,000? The wind is the largest factor. I only do it because, I use Lapua brass for my F/TR loads and want to use them as much as possible.
