  1. I too wondered why it is so big, a third of the length should suffice. Also, Take down requires a tool to remove the new slide release.
  2. Though I'm not a southpaw, a friend is and had had this old Colt modified years ago with a left handed slide release. Thought I'd share...
  3. Dude, that is tasteless....but I thought the same thing.
  4. Ok, I got it to work using safari but like Crimsonaudio, I like tapatalk better. C'mom Mike, part with the $3
  5. Ok, I'm Tapatalkin', thanx all!
  6. I see a "Tapatalk Forum App" for $2.99, is that it?
  7. I always wondered, Couldn't it be argued that most people who kill another outside of self defense, are mentally ill in some form or fashion?
  8. Got a newew iphone and cannot navigate in TGO. I never had any problems with my last one. The screen shot below is all I get when navigating to the site. I cannot go into any of the subjects or even zoom in and out. Anyone have any ideas?
  9. Congratulations! What were you carying?
  10. I'm with you on the roll pins. They do take a little more force to get them out and I've found that the punch should be just slightly smaller than the roll pin to avoid damaging it.
  11. Awesome vid, thanks Tim!
  12. I just spoke with S&W today and they are sending me some for a nominal fee. I removed only the right side of my M&P 45's safety, making it a right handed gun. Will take a picture once I get it installed.
  13. I like most Sig's and even own a couple but will wait to pass judgment on this one until I can actually hold one and see what they are really selling for. So far, by just reading the write ups in the gun rags and comparing the specs, the LC9 does appear the way to go.
  14. Very classy. What's even more impressive is your wifes choice for a range gun. You'd better keep that woman.
  15. I too am sorry for your loss. Hang in there.
  16. No. Marswolf is the first one that comes to mind and his death had a huge impact on this forum a few years ago. I too offer condolences to Teddy's family. May he rest in peace.
  17. Nice pistols. Reminds me of the whole good vs. evil, light vs dark....two totally opposite ends of the spectrum.

    Tsunami in Japan

Waited three freakin' hours for my dad to reply to messages and text this morning. He's frequently in Japan and I had no idea if he was there this week or not. Finally got the news, he's home.
  19. Guys, its the Rusty Nail for Pete's Sake. I wouldn't go into that joint unless I was armed!
  20. I've had 2 12 ga. for three and half years, put well over three thousand rounds through it and I love it! Easy to shoot, easy to clean, easy on the shoulder, 100% reliable what's not to like? My business partner has the Legacy Sport (Wood Stock) and I must say, it shoots the same but the carbon scheme does have the cool factor.
  21. Excellent point, I never really thought about it though.

    Walther P22

Me too. Rarely shoot anything but. Mine however is very well broken in
  23. You have about three years on me John yet I'm in a similar predicament. My close up vision is alright by my distant vision is going, especially in my dominant (left) eye. I too am considering Laser, Glasses and/or Contacts. Will probably be going to the optometrist soon.
  24. That's pretty much how I did it the second time. Wish my kit had come with a spare, I must have looked foolish crawling around on me knees in the grass....
