  1. Do a google search of "dog backpack" and there are plenty. I've been reading reviews and some of the cheaper ones could hurt your dog long term...
  2. My dogs are my kids...If TSHTF, they are coming with. So while preparing my BOB, I've been wondering how much dog food to take and how to not overload my bag...solution... Now my dog can carry his own food and water and maybe some stuff for me as well! Note: This is not my dog just a picture showing the backpack.
  3. I'm looking for a bedside pistol safe. It will be on my nightstand and in theory should be able to open it in complete darkness. I've heard good things about the gunvault brand, but reviews aren't so good on them. Anyone have any experience with gunvaults or other brands? Any help would be appreciated.
  4. DOes that mean it's ready? I will take it if so..I'm in Knoxville and I can meet you.
  5. Does anyone know of an appraiser that I can use to determine the value of this gun? As always, any help is appreciated.
  6. Found this article borderline interesting. I would like to hear what he says on the tv show mentioned in the article. Report: Fidel Castro set to warn of nuclear war - World news - Americas - Focus on Cuba - msnbc.com
  7. Anyone know the value of this gun?
  8. I own it. Once I figure out worth, I may try and sell it. I'm not even sure what caliber it is.
  9. It looks like that is it...seems like they aren't worth a whole lot though...thanks!
  10. That looks like it but he trigger guard design is different along with the lack of pop up rear sight...think it's still the same?
  11. I can across this old gun and have no idea what model it is. The barrel says that it is a J. Stevens Something, MASS Patent 1884 (I think that's the date). Here are some pictures of it...it appears it's a break, single shot .22. Any information would be greatly appreciated. As you can see in the picture, there is a pop up sight in the back and a small pop up sight in the front. Has a fish tail stock. If you have any questions or want to see more pictures, let me know!!!! Thanks so much.
  12. The Valarium is a warehouse type venue. I usually don't go for that type of place but it's not so bad. I actually like it there. The usual cloud of cigarette smoke isn't there because you can't smoke in the building. There are very few seats, unless you get there and claim a spot upstairs. They have two bars (one down and one below). They stay pretty busy and since it's mainly standing room you will be pretty close to someone else. Not my number one choice for a venue, but not worth a trip to Atlanta if it's just for the show. Again, I like it enough to continue to show up there for shows.

That's awesome. Minus the UK visor. And did I hear T-Payne in the background?
  14. Prayers going up man. UT is a good hospital though. I'm there almost everyday working if you need anything.
  15. Ok so I'm back from the range. I loaded .308 with IMR4064. Here's how the day went. I take three bullets that I loaded and lay prone on the ground. Boom. Boom. Boom. I'm feeling good because the ammo I made is working! Take the next three...load it...but the bolt won't close on the first one...get the bullet out, put a different one in...same thing. The bolt won't close. So out of the 10 I made. 6 loaded and fired. 4 did not load (bolt would not close). I finished shooting a factory box off and left a little discouraged. I got home, measured the non loading bullets and all were under 2.8 which is the maximum for the .308. So...any suggestions? What did I do wrong? I made all ten by doing one step to all of them, then the next step to all of them, etc...I never skipped around. So why would 6 work and 4 would not? Any help would be appreciated.
  16. I will take it! Does that count?
  17. I just finished reloading my first round of ammunition. It took me forever to set everything up, figure out how to use it, and I only finished out 10 rounds. I'm gonna shoot my ten rounds tomorrow and make adjustments as necessary. Nonetheless, I love it. I like the meticulous method to it. Range report to follow. If I don't post within a few days, I didn't load it correctly and I'm in the hospital.
  18. Mossberg 500 or Remington 870. Tons of accessories for either one. I load mine with 000 buck and it kicks pretty hard with that load. You can get different loads to help with recoil. You can also get a 20 gauge to help as well, but I would suggest a 12 gauge. I also own a Judge. It doesn't kick much for a little pistol but I don't know how well it would "tear through intruders". The 45 colt will tear through your walls and the .410 will hurt someone. In summary, I would get a 12 ga. shotgun and practice with it.
  19. Welcome from South Knoxville/Seymour!
  20. What do you need help with? I can probably help.
  21. This thread is crazy. I'm not sure what happened. Sorry that I put the joke on here? I laughed at it and continue to. Again, sorry to create such an uproar.
  22. Go to halfoffdepot.com. You can get a year membership for $100.
  23. It makes me happy that they are nicer now. Maybe they read some of the past threads about them. I will be stopping in this weekend! I know not related to the OP but I had sworn them off.
