  1. Anyone in Knoxville that can mud and sand sheetrock? I thought I would do it myself and my walls don't look to good. There are 3 very small areas and one area about 8 foot by 4 foot. I would pay someone to come check it out and fix my mistake(s). Thanks! The sheetrock is up. It's been "mudded" a couple of times, I just can't get it right. It would be a very small project and wouldn't take much time at all. Thanks again.
  2. Anyone have any experience with this gun? According to my pricing book, the value of this gun is increasing very fast. I came across one, but I've never heard of them. Thanks!
  3. Hey I will take it for my nephew if you still have it. PM on it's way!
  4. Just to clarify...I mean no offense by "standard". All my guns are standard as of now. I was thinking of selling off some to clear some cash to add on to the most used. I don't hunt, so I'm with xreedx, it's all HD, PP, and zombie preparation. Just wanting to start a different topic on here for fun!
  5. Have 30 "standard" equipped guns or 5 well equipped guns (night sights, lasers, tacticool, night vision, etc...)?
  6. Ok, forgot to add...I have no kids. Just a wife and dogs.
  7. We also have a two story house with all the bedrooms upstairs. One way up. The way my stairs are, there isn't any open space. It's completely surrounded by walls. I would be prone at the top of the stairs with a 12 gauge aimed at the bottom. There is no way a BG could shoot me before I shot him. I would maintain position while waiting on the police.
  8. For what's it worth, I think you did the right thing. You couldn't see his hands and therefore, in my mind, he would be a threat. He could have a gun ready to pull. Like you, I would have aimed my firearm, finger off trigger, and instructed him to leave. I would like to think I would have the nerve you did. Let's hope so. Good job.
  9. Does anyone own one of these? I am thinking about purchasing one...please tell me the good and bad. How does it compare to the LCP? Thanks!
  10. I'm looking to get a shoulder holster...maybe. Anyone love them? Hate them? I'm looking at the desantis triple agent. It can be a shoulder rig, or you can wear it on a belt or IWB apparently. Thoughts?
  11. Just got home from the show. I spend a total of 1 hour there. Many vendors didn't show up...I was looking for a holster and there was none to be found. I carried 2 pistols with me and occasionally was asked what they were. Didn't seem like much trading was going on...some decent deals on older glocks. All in all, it was a waste of my $20 (my wife went with me).
  12. -They do have hearing and eye protection you can use as part as your fee. -The range entrance is midway inside the stores. You take steps down a level. -Crap shoot.
  13. I guess I will add my 2 cents. Everytime I'm in there, they treat me like I'm stupid and they are too good for my business. I plan on never purchasing anything from them. I do have to admit, there range is nice.
  14. I carry with a left handed IWB holster for my right handed draw. The holster I have it almost a pancake type which doesn't tilt the gun forward or backward. It's basically straight up. It's a good place to carry (IMHO) especially after the holidays where the jeans don't fit as loose.
  15. I have the ultra compact (non ported). It's a great looking gun. Fairly accurate with not a ton of kick (for a .45). I've had some problems out of mine and had to have a gunsmith take a look at it. All is well now. The only thing I could say is that I've read about the ported barrel flashing and causing all kinds of vision problems when shot at night. If you need it at night, I would say make the first shot count.

    Great Deal!

Did they have alot in stock?
  17. Hey guys, I have been on here for a few weeks (maybe months now). I have met some people on here but I have never formally introduced myself. My name is Derrick (I know my screen name is JohnnyFox, long story) and I live in Knoxville. I frequent Gunny's in Maryville and sometimes Coal Creek (try to avoid that one). I'm 27, been married less than a year, in school and I love guns. I will be at the gun show this weekend so maybe I will see some of you all there.
  18. Hey guys...we can make a clan name that way it's easier to find each other. What about TGO? So my new name will be (TGO)DWhizzy. For those that haven't added me, add me!
  19. HA HA HA HA HA! Man...that is some funny stuff. I'm looking for a place to shoot without being shot back at.
  20. Thanks guys! Gonna look into Oak Ridge.
