  1. I'm looking to order some WC Magazines and I have a quick question. I have an ultra compact 1911 and I found the magazines that fit it. I have two options...7 rounds or 8 rounds. Would the 8 round one cause overhang? I mean if they both fit the same (flush fit), why wouldn't I opt for the 8 round? Thanks!
  2. I know someone who can help! She also has a swingset! ha ha ha.
  3. Any idea on price? I've been waiting a long time for this gun!
  4. I had one. Worked great! No leaks or anything. I had to sell it because I found out the hard way that it remains waterproof when your drunk friend pisses on the inside of it.
  5. I'm trying to avoid Gander Mountain because I'm sure they charge an arm and a leg...thanks though!
  6. I recently traded for a bowtech tomkat bow. It's a very nice setup. I have never shot a bow before, but I shot this one a few times. I didn't do half bad either. My question(s) are the seller told me I need to get it adjusted for my draw length...how is this determined and who in Knoxville can do it? Any idea on cost? Like I said, I shoot it ok but I can tell it's not "fitted" for me. Also...good brand or types of arrows? Thanks in advance.
  7. I also find local buyers or people willing to drive. I understand it's legal to ship to your door, but I don't know who I'm sending it to. I prefer FTF transactions. Just my preference.
  8. I had just gotten my new car and I was testing her out in Maryville. Now the car is an Altima (not the coolest but handles like a dream). I was taking "13 curves" way too fast just to see how tight the car was. On the last curve there was a cop stopped on the opposite side of the road with cars behind him. Almost like he was waiting on me (there's no way he could have seen me coming). He turned his lights on, did a u-turn and pulled me over. He came stomping and you could tell he was very pissed off. He was on the brink of yelling and said he clocked me at 70 in a 35. Was I going that fast? Probably. He collected my information and went to write me a ticket. He came back with his clipboard and said in a pissed off kinda tone, "This is your lucky day. I am out of tickets so I can't write you one. This is a warning (hands me the paper off the clipboard). Rest assured, had I had tickets, you would be receiving one for reckless driving." I was in the wrong and I knew it. I thanked him and left very slowly.
  9. I was there today as well. I didn't see any of you all (not that I know who I'm looking for). Maybe next time...
  10. I will be there on Saturday sporting a few guns I need to sell. Who all will be there? I would like to meet fellow TGO-ers. Maybe I can get in on the secret handshake.
  11. Ebay. Cheapest around that I found.
  12. Well smiling while in shock. This was the first month we didn't use "protective" measures (on purpose)...whoops. Ha ha ha ha.
  13. I was eating breakfast today and my wife shows me a pregnancy test that she took this morning. Positive. It appears that I'm gonna be a first time father...I'm speechless, nervous, scared, awed...I'm just about any adjective you can think of. We are confirming tomorrow so I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. All this to say, be watching the classifieds soon...I will probably need some money.
  14. I have a couple from them. They are decent holsters. I would much rather have a galco, but as you probably know, Tagua runs about half the cost. What I do like about them is their customer service. I called my order in (ordered 2 holsters), they knocked 5 bucks off both holster (for no reason), gave me free shipping and no tax, and it was at my house in 2 days. That's always a plus.
  15. I'm sorry as well Ken. I know nothing we will say here will make you feel any better, but know that an entire community is lifting you up in prayer.
  16. Sandman

    What is it worth?

Around $500 and no, no paperwork needs to be done (unless your buddy wants some for his personal records).
  17. I need the story behind this please!
  18. When I first shot my 642 I was having similar problems. I'm a decent shot and although I could hit my target, I wasn't very accurate with it. The next time out, I tried pulling the trigger halfway back (right before the "shooting" point), re-aimed the gun, and finish pulling the trigger. Once I got use to the feel doing it this way, I went back to "normal" trigger pulls and it helped significantly. Hope this helps you.
  19. Crcksht...it seems everything to you is a rip off.
