Like i said, the GOP always tries to cross party lines (McCain, Bush, Graham, etc). The libs/Dems always take. The right/conservatives get the shaft on all compromise. This country is right of center and always will be. This country has been on a right ascendancy for 20 years. The last Bush term caused a dip in this awakening, but now Americans see what the left/libs/dems are all about and we want no part of it. You can't compromise with socialists. Compromise may have been ok in the past when Dems were truly Dems, but the democrat party has been infiltrated. Haslim will win. He should not mistake him winning for some middle ground mandate or he will be a 1 term gov. If he compromises to FAR left he loses the right, not enough compromise and he loses the left. TN's dems are not the typical lib-dems. Sure there are some libs in TN, but it is not indicative of TN Dems. TN Dems will be more likely to swing right than to far left. Reduce spending, keep taxes low, reduce Tenncare, dont mess with gun rights and he will be ok.

enough of our hijack. MSSA has 3-gun 1st saturday of each month. 9am until. $10 for members, $12 for non members. So, you don't have to be a MSSA member to shoot at these events.

pre 2005 benellis are grandfathered in. You need to be 922r compliant for post 2005. As long as you keep the US part count right, your ok. Someone got the following response from the ATF.

hmmm, the left is typically socialists and commies. The right is mostly conservatives with lots of religion, ethics, small gov. I think i will stick with the right. The middle gets nothing done. The right has extremists of some sort, but those extremists are a minority in the right. The left is extreme. "Reaching across party lines" is a mistake. The right always tries and the left takes. The left never gives. The dem party has been hijacked by hardcore libs. Even the moderate dems, caucus with the libs. There can be no compromise with socialists. They plan on the right's compromise to get more footing in our government and more people on welfare tit.

Loading my Rem 1100 is my biggest issue. As i load shells they are hitting the lip of the tube and it is slowing me down. I have had the 1100 for about 3 weeks. I got certified yesterday for the AP range, so i can now get some practice time in. First thing, i will work on loading the 1100. I built this 1100 3 gun shottie for about $420. I found the 1100 for $310 OTD and added an 8 +1 tube extension and found a 21" barrel locally. IT needs a new bead. Benellis are great, but being an import causes issues when you want to mod it. If i were buying new i would look at the Winchester SX2 or the FN SLP. They are the same gun. They claim, it can spit out 5 shots in a 1/2 second.

I was at the MSSA 3 gun yesterday. I was in squad 1 with some of the AR15.com guys. There were 3-4 more ar15.com guys in another squad. I had he green kids wagon with the wood rifle rack. Bubb tactical. to cch2a: dont worry about how you look. I never shot 3 gun or any competition before last month. I showed up with a bunch of molle pouches and old guns and still had fun. Be safe and have fun. Then try to compete. I was third from last, last month. I picked up my times a bunch this month. I think i did much better. The ROs and vets will have no problem showing you the ropes. They are trying to grow the sport. edit: typing faster than thinking.

I went to sight in my 30-06 maybe 3 or 4 years ago at the Shelby farms range. It closed the next year. So, it has been a while.

I think any of the Ruger MK's, 22/45 or the Browning Buckmark are the best .22 out now under $500. The Rugers have more aftermarket parts, but i think the Buckmark is easier to deal with. I have a Browning Buckmark Camper. It is the most accurate gun i have, always goes bang, feeds all ammo, no FTEs, easy to clean, etc. My 10 year old girl loves it.

That is a good deal for a good quality used M&P. If you want an M&P you should jump on it. I have been recently (last week) shopping for an M&P pro. I looked at many regular full size M&Ps. Around Memphis, that is better price than i saw.

that and paying off the local Fayette county officials. MSSA is nice. I joined up last month. This weekend there was a nice flea market and gun swap (members only). I sold my Rem 1100 barrel there. They have a lot to do and there are matches all month long. By the way you don't have to be a member to shoot in most matches. This saturday there will be a 3 gun match. Starts at 8am. Nothing else i can think of near memphls. Natchez Trace has a 100 yd range, but it is a drive from Memphis, probably 2 hours.

look at the Marlin 795. It is a mag fed Mod 60. I got one last month at dick's for $152 OTD, plus there is a $25 rebate. The 795 is as accurate and reliable as a mod 60. The only negative is some of the 3/8 dovetails on the current production 795s are a little off. if you buy one look at the dovetail.

mossberg safety is difficult to deal with when you have a pistol grip. You have to reach over the stock to reach the safety. Remingtons are behind the trigger. Much easier to reach when you have a pistol grip. When it comes to shotguns, i like traditional stocks.

8+1 tube extension. Enough for now. Add more, if needed, after a few matches with it.

found a barrel local: 21 inch, threaded. I added an extended imp cyl choke. I have a 4+1 tube extension on the way. I will wait to see if i need an easy loader and charging handle after a match or two.
