  1. 8+1 tube extension. Enough for now. Add more, if needed, after a few matches with it.
  2. found a barrel local: 21 inch, threaded. I added an extended imp cyl choke. I have a 4+1 tube extension on the way. I will wait to see if i need an easy loader and charging handle after a match or two.
  3. I know Larue makes great stuff, but for my set up, i don't want to spend 3 times more on the mount than i did on the magniifier. I would like to find a cheaper flip over mount.
  4. you might be able to find a Larue Po boy. I found one a month or so back without a mount for $50. really good glass and 2.5x. I put mine on a PA QD mount. I would prefer a flip over. PoBoy Special Primary Arms Red Dot Magnifiers - Primary Arms - For Optics Accessories & More | Weapons Optics | Firearm Supplies PA is my first stop to shop. If they have what i want, i buy from them. They are always the cheapest with quick and cheap shipping. Great customer service. Vortex at PA for $129 Vortex VMX3 Burris at PA for $159 Burris AR-Tripler
  5. My pps does
  6. I recently just replaced the springs with JP springs. My trigger went from 6lbs plus to 4.5lbs or less without any polishing. I will polish them next time i break it down.
  7. I will try to be there. I want to rent a Glock 17 and S&W M&P9. I want a new hi cap 9mm. It has come between those 2.
  8. I found a 1996 Rem 1100 with wood furniture, fixed mod choke, ribbed 26" barrel. I got it for $310 out the door This is for a 3 gun build. It will look very different in the coming months. It will keep the wood, but very soon it will have a 4 round mag extension and over sized charging handle. In a few weeks, it will have an easy loader and much shorter barrel. I need to give props to Nick at Tommy Bronson sporting goods in Memphis. I have bought 2 used guns from them in the past 6 months and their service is outstanding. They have a very large selection of used shotties, almost as many bolt rifles and a few other good used rifles. As this changes into my 3 gun shottie, i will post pics.
  9. I've had mine since april of 09. After several thousand rounds no issues. I can't think of any FTEs or FTFs. I hate to hear that S&W is putting out low quality. S&W will make it right, but they should never have left the plant like that.
  10. Cuccinelli is one sharp AG. I don't know his politics, but he is a bull dog in the interviews i have seen of him. After hearing what the Judge wrote in his ruling, it sounds like he opposes Fed intervention into state rights. Ruling with strict constitutional views is never judicial activism. The reversal of the gay marriage ban was judicial activism. That judge made up some stuff.
  11. MSSA has 3 gun matches the 3rd sat of each month. See event schedule here: http://www.memphis-ssa.com/3Gun.htm
  12. I had one for a while. Very reliable and fairly accurate. Moped said it, 100 yards is max, but a good HD weapon. I sold it because i could not find any hi cap mags. Funny, i sold mine with a Truglo red dot and ATI stock.
  13. CX4 9mm or 45acp are very cool. $800 new, i saw a used one at the Southaven gun show this year for $525. ruger pc9 marlin camp 9mm or 45acp hipoint 9mm or 40S&W with ATI stock. The bad thing about hipoint carbines is that there are no hi-cap mags $200-$280
  14. A little off topic, but vortex makes some nice red dots as well. Their latest is a mini called the sparc. Vortex Optics - SPARC Red Dot very cool. swfa carries vortex and others http://swfa.com/
  15. see post #14
  16. welcome +1 for Range USA. I hear to many shooters say that rangemaster's employees can be moody.
  17. What they said about a smith trigger job with new sear, disconnect. Well worth the money. Those are parts you don't want to mess with unless you know exactly what you are doing.
  18. i like the scmidt work belts. I got mine from TSC C.E. Schmidt® Men's Workwear Belt - 734383199 | Tractor Supply Company
  19. you will need a small game license and some WMA's require a park permit. The link listed above should tell you what you need.
  20. Howdy from Fayette county.
  21. welcome, watch for Memphis call to arms. We get together occasionally at Range USA.
  22. eapking is right on. Classes, practice, training, confidence. Condition 1 is the only way i carry.
  23. holy freakin cow. Never in my life would i have believed it if i hadnt just watch the video. That is just strange to say the least. I guess free protein is free protein. The buck is in velvet and he is craving proteind and calcium. I have seen squirrels eat baby birds and baby rabbits. I guess if it were easier all animals would be carnivorous.
