It may be time to start over with this sticky. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearms-law-faq/21581-where-am-i-forbidden-carry-my-firearm-permit-holder-tennessee.html For new people, like myself, it's not optimal. We weren't here for the original law that got passed then vetoed then overridden then overturned then re-done re-passed then re-voted, ect. See how fast that gets confusing....

Hope for getting rid of Redlight Cameras in TN?
aquaman67 replied to aquaman67's topic in General Chat
Those cameras didnt just pop up. Elected officials voted to put them up. We can vote those people out of office and vote for people who will remove them. But we wont. We will just complain and take it. -
Hope for getting rid of Redlight Cameras in TN?
aquaman67 replied to aquaman67's topic in General Chat
IMO they were/are always about one thing...M O N E Y. Never about safety. You can run the same redlight everyday - 3 times a day if you want to pay the $50. No points, no record, no insurance increase. I forget how many million Chattanooga has made so far and Clarksville is not far behind. A study showed that while side impact crashed went down, rear end crashes doubled at one intersection in Clarksville. -
What's up with that one in the UPC code?

Found this on another board. It's Cali but maybe there's hope it can somehow make it's way to Tennessee. The same company, RedFlex is in Clarksville.... California: Appellate Decision Strikes Down Red Light Camera Evidence

Permit holders working against each other?
aquaman67 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I love mayo. On my Whopper I ask for heavy mayo please. The boycott idea is moot, IMO. It makes the person doing the boycotting feel empowered and rightly so. You have the choice where to spent your money. There just aren't enough of us to make a dent. Even if every permit holder in Clarksville, for example, boycotted Logan's the wait on Friday night would be 44 minutes instead of 45. (I don't know if Logan's in Clarksville is posted, I'm just using it as an example of a place most people have heard of.) -
As a 23 year old, it shlould be pretty easy for you to get a video of these golf ball shots and post it on youtube. I'd love to see it. I enjoy the tv show Impossible Shots. Watching people but a bullet though the hole in a washer thrown in the air (in super slow motion) is always cool...

Serious question… What do they call Canadian bacon in Canada? Surely they don’t call it just bacon and call what we call bacon American bacon? And did bacon as we know it even originate in America? Or was Canadian bacon first? I’m confused how some here think being shot by a LEO isn’t gun related, but I’m still trying to work out this whole bacon thing…

I don't know what size shirt you wear, but if you don't already, you might want to start buying the "tall" size, unless you are under 5'8" or so. The size will be "xlt" for extra large tall or 2xlt. It gives you about 2 more inches of coverage.

Who's tax rates is he talking about? Not mine... State taxes aren't going up and my local taxes aren't either.

No sign, no dine / Sign, no dine
aquaman67 replied to Mr. Brooks's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This reminds me of when the Lottery passed in Tennessee. "There will be children begging in the streets becasue their parnets spent all the grocery money gambling. There will be massive food lines at local shelters....blah blah blah..." What actually happend? Record college enrollment. This too shall pass. People will chill and everyone can go on with their lives...... -
I went to Gatlinburg right before shipping out to Iraq in 2006. Stopped by Smoky Mountain on the way. I asked about Benchmade's there and the story I got from an older employee was there was a dispute over price. Smoky Mountain wanted to sell Benchmade's at a lower price than Benchmade wanted them sold at so Benchmade stopped letting Smoky Mountain sell their knives... That's the story I got. I EDC a Benchmade 585 Mini-Barrage assited opening...

For people who just bought a Switchblade at the gun show, yes, I'd say they could be in legal trouble if they are found to be in possession of said knife. Cops search house because of pot and find switchblade, yeah, tack that charge on. But possessing a knife that I carried in Combat in defense of this country, I think that would qualify as a keepsake. There are hundreds if not thousands of Tennesseans who could claim the same thing.

Have you decided not to buy a 380 because of the ammo shortage?
aquaman67 replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
Just for anyone else who needs some near Clarksville, Grandpa's has some Hyda Shok or how ever you spell it. I only bought on box just 'cause I've never shot any. They also had some target ammo, but I have 7 boxes of WWB so I didn't pick up any more. -
That made me spit Coke on my keyboard... I don't know why I found it so funny, but I did.

Sorry you got hosed. I was looking at Benchmade knives at a local store. They actually asked me if I wanted an auto model. I said I'm not military. They said "I won't tell if you won't." I walked away and found the Mini-Barrage online for half the price, no tax, free shipping (bladeplay.com) I have a Benchmade AutoStryker that I carried in Iraq. I keep it under the keepsake clause.

What is the Best Knife you have ever owned?
aquaman67 replied to willis68's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
The Benchmade Mini-Barrage. Assisted open. Switchblade speed without potentially losing HCP over some BS. Because carrying a switchblade is illegal. 585 Details | Benchmade All black with the combo blade...
