  1. Rob those are all really nice trophy's. Even more amazing that they were taken with that bow. Congrats.
  2.     That's pretty impressive to put it through the bear. 40 yards is a hell of a shot escpecially with something like that. I don't even like shooting my compound at 40 yards and it shoots around 300fps. I like the 30 yards and under shot just to be sure I make an ethical kill. Does that cost me deer in the long run, yes but I don't mind it. I don't like to shoot unless I know it's going to put the deer down.

  4. My wife's grandfather gave me one of those a couple years ago. I still have never tried to shoot it. Do you actually hunt with it? What is the effective distance on something like that?
  5.     Oh no, I agree. Crossbows serve a purpose and are a pain in the butt to reload in a tree.
  6. My luck is I would put a round through the bottom of it and be on the hook for a $5,000.00 robot. Other than that it would be a cool course.
  7. All you guys are compensating if you use a rifle, Bow is where it's at.... and not a crossbow. :stir:
  8. They already have that, food stamps.
  9. I like it, I'm with Dolo it would be pretty sweet to have a 9mm AK.
  10.     But.... it's not fish. I'm a fan of surf and turf.
  11. Or Lobster.....
  12.     Medium rare, to rare. Kosher salt and pepper on a good cut of beef.... Don't screw up a good steak!
  13. It's an interior door. Usually hollow core with a "wood" frame on the sides and top so you can trim it down and have something to mount the hinges to. Bersa if it's a wood frame even with the double deadbolts it would not take but a well placed kick or kicks to bust it in. I had to kick in my garage entry door last year. Steel door with deadbolt locked and I got it kicked in with one kick. Blew out the frame and also busted the door around the deadbolt and lock. If you want a secure door you need a steel frame with a good solid door. My buddy pissed off a few guys on facebook..... not the sharpest tool in the shed. He went around installing deadbolts on all his doors.... I guess if he sleeps better at night good for him. I still want just kick one in for giggles so he can see how useless they are. Doors and windows are just there to keep honest people out.
  14. Thank you for that, very funny.
  15. That's mostly what I read everywhere. Thanks for the info guys. DOLO I figured that if anyone could recommend something it would be you.
  16.     Nutnfancy could have added a good 20+ minutes of yapping.
  17. Thanks for the help OS. I think I will just roll with the V-Max bullets then. It is nice to know that the 5.56 loads should still fragment like it is supposed to.
  18.   Thank you, everything I seem to read says that the round does not get up to speed so it can't fragment properly.
  19. I have not read anything on this but I wonder where the officer was shot and if he was wearing body armor.
  20. I like the AK Fixed stock but the problem is it's built for a stamped reciever so I am not sure if I could make it work. Oh the problems of being a milled guy.
  21. Alright, forgive me if this has been posted. I searched but did not see anything, I might just suck at searching. I just finished my AR pistol build and was thinking about the best Personal defense rounds. Should I just stick with a 55-60 grain V-max or go heavier with soft/hollow point.... New to the AR group so I am not sure. I am tired of reading through other websites and just thought I would ask here. Thanks for the help.
  22. Good Lord! Glad things turned out the way they did. I am sure we have had this discussion but at what point do you think about taking firearms from an induvidual that has dementia or alztimers? My dad has been dealing with it for the last couple years, seems to be handeling it well. I know he has a few pistols in the house and just wonder if and when I will have to have that talk with him. Sorry don't want to Hi jack but thought I would bring it up.
  23. I love the finish on my upper. The lower will be in tomorrow and I am going to try and shoot it this weekend.
  24. The comments on the video say it best. I obviously don't understand the hatred for rules and law and why someone would want to act like that. If you don't break the law you don't get in trouble, seems simple.
