  1. +100. A Fusion 10mm kit is on my wish list.
  2. Looks like it has the Hillary hole. Too bad.
  3. I'm interested in #16 and would like to see some pictures. PM sent. Thanks.
  4. You should look into Benefactor status here. TGO is a great place to sell firearms.
  5. I'm a fan of the liner lock. The one time I've seriously cut myself trying to close a knife (index finger down to the bone) was with a traditional lockback. The liner lock is also much easier IMHO to close one-handed.
  6. Sent you a PM.
  7. I've got a knife problem. They are more addictive than guns (to me at least). Busse Combat knives are my favorites. They are built like a tank and shaving sharp, with great edge retention. Here are a couple. The top one is a SAR-6 with black and green G-10 scales and the bottom one is a Bushwhacker Mistress with black canvas micarta scales. For reference, the SAR-6 is 12.5 inches overall.
  8. I picked up this Les Baer in a trade from the TGO classifieds a couple of weeks ago. It had obviously been carried and shot a lot, but it was still tight. Since the finish was in rough shape I decided to take it to Predator Custom to see what they could do with it. I gave it to Jim on Wednesday afternoon and ordered the VZ grips on Wednesday night. I expected to be without it for a couple of weeks. Instead, I got a call on Friday saying the pistol was ready and the grips arrived in the mail today. I'm pretty damned pleased with it. What say you, TGO'ers?
  9. Very, very nice Steve. That stag insert is gorgeous.
  10. Between the blade thickness and the jimping and mini-choil for grip I'd think this would be a great head-stabber.
  11. I'm eyeballing an Ed Brown Executive Elite Centennial Edition. I'm only $2500 short in my gun fund right now.
  12. Ahh, of course Steve got the limited edition, lol...
  13. You got it! I ordered mine from Chestnut Ridge right after you but haven't received it yet. Hopefully soon...
  14. I wouldn't have one for exactly the reasons you mentioned. It's just like having a "Got Sig" or a "Glock Shooting Team" sticker on your back window, IMHO.
  15. I luckily gave a fake phone number when I originally joined. I just get four letters and six emails a week...
  16. I'd definitely like to get my hands on one. I'm lucky enough to have a Hinderer XM-18 and it is damned-near perfection.
  17. We should probably sticky a post on TN knife laws. These seem to come up every few weeks or so. My understanding of the law is that you cannot carry an automatic knife in TN unless you are law enforcement or military. You can carry an assisted opening knife with no problems as long as the blade is less than 4 inches. As far as your price range, I'm not sure about the SOGs, but there are many good assisted opening knives in that price range. I know that there are both Benchmade and Zero Tolerance tantos at that price point. A good starting point is Blade HQ under the spring assisted knives section. Best of luck. Knives are a terrible addiction.
  18. Can't wait to read it. Any chance of a Kindle version?
  19. I'll be there with a couple of buddies, but it won't be until 10 or 11. See you guys there.
  20. I've already got my plans set to be there this year. Anyone else going?
  21. Yep, there's a big part of me that's glad SMKW doesn't carry Busse and Mad Dog and Chris Reeve folders and Hinderers, etc. It could be bad for the wallet and for the marital harmony...
  22. SMKW also does a 10% military discount. Furthermore, if you go to their Facebook page (yes, I know Facebook is the devil) they were giving away 25% off coupons that were good for online purchases.
  23. Hey Steve, I like the Umnum, but not as much as the Sebenza. I got it barely used for a great deal on the JD, so it was worth a try. I'm looking at another XM-18 that I'd like to use for EDC, but I'm not sure it's in the financial cards.
  24. What he said. That's pretty damn cool looking. Who did the work?
  25. Unfortunately I can't relegate mine to one manufacturer. I particularly like Chris Reeve, Hinderer, German Bokers, Busse, ESEE and Zero Tolerance. My EDC rotation is currently between a Spyderco Delica, a Zero Tolerance 350, a Kershaw Blur, and a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan. It is definitely a sickness.
