  1. I would suggest the Galco Miami Classic. http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT3.asp?ProductID=2384&CatalogID=2 I would get a leather one for sure. I have had a nylon and its just not comfortable.
  2. My wife went and bought me a gun for Christmas last year at Academy Sports. She outright told the clerk it was for her husband, hell she even called it a Rugger instead of Ruger. They didn't hesitate to let her buy it. I understand that some husbands/ wives can't own guns so they get their spouses to buy it, but if both husband and wife are there, I don't see the "straw buy" theory. Why can't the dealer just run both backgrounds and sell the gun? Can you only fill out one 4473 per purchase? Can one be called in without a transaction pending?
  3. Yes the fit in yours isn't super tight but like I said that doesn't mean it's not accurate. The barrel will move when the slide is locked back. Your gun looks good. I'd try just shooting from a rest and see I you get better results.
  4. Grundy & Sequatchie Counties are like the Wild West. Gruelti-Lager to Altamont east to Cagle. I'm sure that's where they take the bodies to not be found.
  5. Haha, yeah I get around. Wilder actually has a post office, but no store or anything else. Cravenstown has a little store but they don't have much but dust covered cans of Vienna Sausages, bread, and beer.
  6. I think the 5.5 grains of unique looked pretty good group. You also have to consider fatigue after shooting some. The best way to test accuracy of loads is with a bench rest. As for the 1911, slide play is common, it's not ideal, but also not a death sentence. Now the fact that your barrel moves inside the bushing, makes me scratch my head. Is this when the slide is in battery? Post a close up pick of the barrel and bushing if you can. Also a pick of the rear o the slide can show slide fit. Like this, this is my TRP Now this is a ~$1400 1911, you can see its very snug slide to frame. It's not unusual as I said for there to be some gaps there in some models, but the barrel loose is a different story.
  7. True!!! Or Cravenstown, just up the hill from Wilder. We manage a 7,000 acre tract just North of Wilder.
  8. here's one in the classifieds http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/52441-24-ar15-flat-top-upper-with-free-float-handguard-bcg/page__hl__upper
  9. Rhino lining exterior is done on trucks and such, but yeah I have to believe that's a vinyl wrap on the Bentley.
  10. Save some for Sunday, I'll be there. You got 300blk brass?
  11. Personally I can shoot the gun fine as-is, but I think it could be better. 1.5 lbs off it would still be pretty firm. I think the smooth aluminum trigger will be more of an improvement that the springs.
  12. Did you a want the upper and lower to match? I'd keep the BCM upper and get a different lower
  13. Yep they have a reduced power spring to drop about 1.5lbs off the pull. http://gallowayprecision.com/ruger-performance/lcp-performance-parts/ They also sell the rtk trigger which take the bite out of the LCP trigger. Which hurts my finger if shot much. I haven't done these upgrades yet, but will soon.
  14. I've been up there several times for Forestry work. You just gotta act like you're one of them. Walk in like you own the place.
  15. How far are you willing to drive?
  16. Sell them and get cash. The likelihood of finding someone who wants to trade a gun for and electronic item is slim.
  17. I find it unwatchable. Like you said 'soap opera' like
  18. <br /><br />I heard Karl Rove say yesterday, no candidate or incumbent that has had 50 or more points in the likely voter polls in mid-October has ever lost. <br /><br />I can't fact check that, just thought it was interesting.
  19. Yep, in 2005, Lance's last Tour win, you have to go down 23 places to find someone not caught doping. And in reality it's probably further down than that, they just didn't get caught.
  20. It's funny, there aren't very many places in this thread that I haven't driven through or been near. My life is rural. Placed like Rugby are nice historic, others are places you need not be without being well armed. The sad thing is drugs have taken over rural areas. What once was a 'big city' problem is now prominent everywhere. there is a store in Glades, northwest Morgan county, north of Deerloge, makes a decent sandwich, but they also deal drugs, lots if shady characters there. I fell safer in East Knoxville than there, but hey a mans gotta eat
  21. Ahh, I didn't pick that up, just thought he was lookin for a deal.
  22. They are illegal......without a tax stamp More omission of facts, than a lie. Definitely a political ploy. But of that were me, I would have done the same thing. That's not the place to explain the NFA. plus if libs think they are illegal, they won't try to further ban them, or worse inflate the tax stamp to a level that it would be prohibitively expensive.
  23. Here is a good price on a non-blem http://www.JoeBobOutfitters.com/LAR_Grizzly_AR15_Stripped_Lower_Reciever_Teflon_Co_p/lar-grizzlylowerstrip.htm
  24. Have you looked for other stripped lowers. I got a Spikes from joeboboutfitters for $89, their availability changes week to week
