  1. Well, if it was in the heart of East St. Louis, the name is appropriate. He didn't destroy that place, but would if he had the chance.
  2. Most duplicate threads seem to die off early. If I see one pop up, I try to link to the original. When they do take off, and are merged, it ain't pretty. i find that I kill fewer brain cells keeping up with the stragglers than trying to sort thru a merged thread.
  3.   I have one of these. GREAT knife...   http://www.amazon.com/Spyderco-Ladybug3-British-Racing-Zdp189/dp/B004YLAO7A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402606917&sr=8-1&keywords=spyderco+ladybug+zdp-189
  4.   We got megatons that are fully depreciated.
  5.   He needs a can of Raid Liberal Spray :)
  6.   Oh... we love Dave already, and ain't done with him yet :)
  7.   Especially with that little wet spot that will form on the front of some folks' britches when that sucker fires :)
  8. I reckon that's settled :)
  9. You gotta use an image host like Photobucket, and post a link. There's a how to doc floating around somewhere. Sounds like a really nice build from the parts list.
  10.   Right. I'm like Leroy... gimme the carbon. If I let my knives rust, I deserve what I get. :)
  11.   I only have 2 knives with 154. Neither has been used. I'm just going by what I've read. 154 is cheaper. We are probably splitting hairs anyway, when it comes to better blade steels. I'm not gonna be killin' any Taliban with this knife anyway.   Not sure it's valid to compare across brands though, since the manufacturers control heat treatment (biggie). My money says that our friend at Pro Tech is gonna recommend the D2. That may have even been a Les call
  12.   Benchmade is real big on it. Only one of my ZT's use it. All the rest use better steel (S30V, S35VN, ELMAX). I would rather have D2.
  13.   THIS is the way to do it if you can justify tooling up for that kind of volume. My total round count on this caliber won't ever get bigger than a couple thousand. So, I'm stuck with the Chinese saw :)
  14.   Tough stuff. Notice it kinda separated the men from the boys. :)
  15. I use the Harbor Freight chop saw as well, with a home made wood jig. I use an RCBS power trimmer with a 3 way cutting head for final trim. I have two sets of Lee Dies. Mine were fine.

  17. Well... that gave me a boner.
  18.   Yep. He didn't drink whiskey, 'cause it made him mean.
  19.   Send it to Spyderco
  20.   Sure, there are cheaper options. I bought the Apex 4 kit directly from Edge Pro, and then added the 2000, 4000, and 8000 grit Shapton stones. The stones are a chunk of the cost. It's a really good system, that will allow you to put a mirror edge on a knife. I agree, not worth it for beater knives. For more expensive knives, I wouldn't touch them with anything less. There are plenty of folks that have the skills to do it on flat stones. I just won't ever be one of them.
  21.   It's high quality stuff. The stones are a big part of it. It depends on how much you have invested in your knives. It costs a little less than my regular carry knife. It's a drop in the bucket when I consider the value of all my knives.
  22. I have a Sharpmaker. May even use it on one of my crappy knives. I just won't use it on anything better than a cheap Kershaw. Nothing against the Sharpmaker. It's all me.
