  1. Not disputing that a bunch of Democrats can't ruin the economy in a city, but are you saying the auto industry wasn't the cause?
  2. I always assumed Detroit was dying because the US auto industry went to hell. At least, that's what my friends from Detroit told me.
  3. Looks like we can kick everybody's ass if we feel like it :-)
  4. The way I understand it, when the current deal is fully rolled out, there will be no difference. Yes, the question has been posed. Just depends on who you believe.
  5. Guess i didn't have to say that, eh? Let me put it another way... If I'm looking at a new gun, I may read the reviews in the rags and on the net, then take it all with a grain of salt. Then, I'll ask the folks on this board. None of us have had a chance to test drive this thing.
  6. I'm not going to say much here, because I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude about the whole thing. I share everybody's concerns. Just want to make one point that seems to be overlooked... Your insurance rates were going to raise dramatically, year after year, no matter what. Without any intervention, we were already screwed. When this turns into a real working model, a lot of stuff in the legislation may change or go away. The politicians are only saying what's good for them, so they're not a reliable source.

    MOA rating

Without getting into Trig... there are 60 minutes in a degree. One minute of angle is 1 inch at 100 yards. You need enough adjustment range to take care of the mounting error and the additiontional upward pitch of the bore. For example, for a 500 yard zero, the bore of a .223 is pitched up around 15 MOA. For a 200 yard zero, it's only pitched up around 4 MOA. I own several scoped rifles, and all except one has leupold scopes. I've never had a situation where I couldn't zero a scope at normal ranges, especially since I used windage adjustable rings on the last few rifles. Probably not going to be an issue if you zero your rifle using the maximum point blank range zeroing method.
  8. i want 16,000 LESS IRS agents
  9. You mean like a TGO poll alert? I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were really that high, but wouldn't trust an Internet poll as the source. They expected the numbers would come up after it passed. Haven't seen a real poll yet
  10. You are required to leave it on the bench. No worries, the RSO's are watching
  11. I had to polish the feed ramp and chamber on mine.
  12. I was there for about an hour today. I didn't see her on the handgun range
  13. And most, if not all, in this thread have prefaced their comments with overall positive feelings about LEO's.
  14. TMMT, We all wind up sharing a little bit about ourselves to give weight to our posts. The main reason I don't use a handle is to let folks know that I'm not firing a bunch of crap from the safety of my keyboard. I'm thinking that if those numbers cross your desk, you're probably the most qualified to quote them.
  15. Just grabbed a couple of my 9's and headed over to Stones River for a quick hundred rounds. Completely forgot that the LCP was in my pocket until I was into the second box. I like those folks, and respect the rules, but thought about sneaking it out of my pocket and emptying it. Decided against it. You never know when a zombie is gonna jump out from behind a bush. Being caught with 3 guns and no ammo would be an American tragedy.
  16. IMHO, it's worth it
  17. There are a lot of threads out there about the "why". Demand for .380 increased dramatically. Demand for all handgun ammo is up. It's perfect any time you don't feel like strapping something on. If I'm going to a gnarly part of town, I'll take something bigger.
  18. Personally, I'm fixin' to go mutilate some paper.
  19. You just have to keep your eyes peeled, and jump on it when you see it. I'm not going to put thousands of rounds thru mine. i'll soot it enough to be comfortable with its reliability. I have better range guns.
  20. I've never been sorry for my purchase. I have several good handguns, but the LCP is the one I never have to "wear". I wind up carrying it more than I expected.
  21. Not a good idea to eat krystals when you have a bomb up your butt.
  22. So does the guy with the shotgun
  23. They burned LOTS of political capital with healthcare... maybe enough to lose their majority this fall. Gonna be interesting to watch. I can see them tackling cap and trade before amnesty.
