  1. Scorpion: $1199 Stinger: $1499
  2. Things like this happen in seconds. I'll unhoster my weapon as soon as there is any possibility that I may need it, because it shortens response time. That doesn't mean I'll point it until things escalate. I'm just not going to lose the battle with time because I'm snagged on a cover garment.
  3. That's a great idea. Most likely it's just an insurance thing, and they got the rate reduction when they made the policy. Personally, I wouldn't order the search of an employee's vehicle unless I was prepared to lose them. Talk about a morale destroyer.
  4. I understand that the safest thing to do is just comply with company policy. But, how can they know if there is a gun in the car? Do they have the right to search your vehicle?

What he said. Bought a lot from them.
  6. That may be the point that wins the whole debate
  7. I don't see it happening because, the people that ban guns in schools and other places think that guns are dangerous by themselves. I don't know HOW their little brains think that way, but they do. I don't think better trained people carrying an instrument of evil is going to swing them our way. Just my opinion
  8. That might make things easier for thugs, and we have our fair share in a few places in this state. So, maybe an addition to this, we load all our thugs on busses and send them to Vermont.
  9. I was lucky. I was the only one in my class. Once my instructor figured out I was a gun guy, we had a blast. Did some fun shooting before the actual qualiying. Went thru close to 100 rounds of 9mm. Scored 100 and 100, but flinched once and shot the target in the kajones.
  10. I thinbk the class was adequate for it's purpose. IMO, the most important qualification for a permit is the fact that you're law abiding. The video is pitiful, but serves its purpose. I even think the range test was adequate. Certainly not a challenge for somebody like me that's been shooting all their life, but it's good enough to tell if somebody can hit a man size target with the first gun they've ever held.
  11. I have a Browning X Bolt .243, and I love it. I have the hunter, which is light enough. The trigger is great out of the box. Great recoil pad, and great removable mag. I had to put a Jewel trigger in my 700 before I was happy with it. That added 200 bucks to the cost of the rifle. I hear that Savage has the best stock trigger, and they tend to be real accurate.
  12. You can't kill a zombie with one shot. That's what makes them so much fun
  13. I have a Mini that came from the factory with the ATI stock. It has the shorter barrel. Couple of things... You may want to take a look at this: The Original Barrel Strut for Mini-14s The blued version of the Mini can lock up due to corrosion around the gas piston. I discovered this after a long session at Stones River on a rainy day. Brought the rifle home and didn't clean it. Got it out a few weeks later and the bolt was stuck shut because of powder residue and rust around the gas piston. I'm not sure this happens with all blued Minis, but you can find discussions about it on some of the forums. So... when I take the Mini out, I lock the bolt open until I can give it a good cleaning. With the ATI stock and a scope, you have to remove the phillips screws in the hand guard to disassemble the rifle (you knew that).
  14. I should have said that I like all the JD products too, but it gives me serious heartburn. Black, Gentleman, and Single Barrel.
  15. Woodford used to be my regular whiskey. I still love it, but now I'm a Booker's guy.
  16. It depends on the situation, but probably my Mini 14. 12 ga. ammo is too bulky.
  17. Pretty convincing case for ball ammo. I don't carry my LCP, but it stays loaded with Gold Dots. I'm going to load it with FMJ's, and save the Gold Dots for my next frog hunt.
  18. My 1911 and my CZ P01. I'm having a tough time deciding which one I like better. I like my P22 as well (if I'm being attacked by a rabbit).
  19. I agree with all of the above. If it is something more than a visible problem with electrolytic capacitors, it will challenge your electonics skills. Keep in mind that all electrolytics are not created equal. There's more to it than matching value, working voltage, and physical size. For example, some capacitors will overheat in switching supply circuits. I've never had any luck finding a decent parts supplier in Mempho. May need to go to a real parts house, like DigiKey Corp. | Electronic Components Distributor | United States Home Page. Digikey is like Midway. Same day shipping, and should make it to Memphis in a couple of days with UPS ground.
  20. MEMPHIS!!! The douchebag needs to fix Memphis
  21. Well, it looks like he has found a few like-minded idiots that are cheering him on. I'm gonna say it one more time... I wish he would pull some of his crap in Memphis.
  22. If that's true, he should be a Walmart greeter instead of governor
  23. I put wood grips on my 637. The hated factory rubber grips
