  1. thanks for the replies so far guys.
  2. Thanks Billy for doing this. Really nice of you to organize this and take the time out of your schedule. And thanks to everyone to donated this year as well.
  3. She isn't 21 yet so I'm not sure if she can get in. Good idea though, I'll check into it.
  4. The girlfriend and I are going to Nashville around the 1st of the year and we were wondering what we should see/do. We would like to know some good places to eat and she will of course want to know where to go shopping. Is the Grand Ole Opry worth the money? What do you all recommend?
  5. I don't know much about MRE's. Is that a good price, and how many years do they last? 9-Meal MRE (Meals-Ready-To-Eat) Food Supply
  6. While $18 may not seem like a lot to you, it might be to them. You have to realize that the profit margin on most new guns is very small. Think about it like gasoline, most gas stations make only .06-.10 on a gallon of gas. They make their real money when you go inside and buy a coke candy. Same for gun shops, I would imagine they see more profit from accessories or range time. Or maybe ammo, I'm not sure the margin on ammo though. As others have said, some places will come down on price others won't budge. Don't take it too personal.
  7. I've never had a desire to hunt before, but lately I've been wanting to blast a yote.
  8. glock 19 is a very easy gun to rack to slide on. But I think if you have her try the method that others have mentioned about pushing instead of pulling she will be fine.
  9. glad to hear this. GA arms has been coming to the gun shows here in Knoxville lately and at the last show I picked up 50 rounds of .38. I haven't shot any yet but I imagine it will do just fine.
  10. when I have kids, they will not be allowed to shoot until they prove to me that they understand the rules of gun safety. What amazes me is the lack of common sense among grown men while at the range. I've been muzzled more times than I can count.
  11. I think a charity for kids is a good idea as well. I hope we get some last minute donations from some of the members on here that buy and sell 10 guns a week.
  12. Some of the responses on here really surprise me. I'm used to our normal trolls but it seems a few new ones have emerged. I don't see what the big deal is. As others have said, the guys is grown man and it sounds like he practically nursed the beers for 5 hours while enjoying a day of shooting. He was probably more cautious than some of the "sober" people I have seen at the range who have no idea what the rules of safe gun handling are.
  13. actually, according to everything I've read on the 4th gen 26/27 they will not be a rail. Unless you have seen something I haven't?
  14. the duplicate is a good idea. I've been meaning to get around to it but haven't yet.
  15. Welcome from another Knoxville member!
  16. I have 2 of them. They both work great. I cut mine also but unlike the others, I don't regret it. I'm looking forward to their release of a modular holster that you can mount in your vehicle.
  17. for what it's worth, I was at West Town tonight and I noticed a guy open carrying. The mall was PACKED so this guy had a lot of balls. He walked right past a security guard who didn't even notice. In fact I think I was the only person who noticed his gun.
  18. Well, it certainly wasn't done for looks but I can see why this is an improvement. So I take it you did this yourself? How long does a job like this take?
  19. ya that's probably best. See YA!
