For my XD I also have the Serpa and the Kholster. I often just throw on the Serpa(with the paddle attachment) and wear an untucked shirt. I have never had any problems with concealment because I purposely buy large shirts. The few times I have open carried or my shirt has exposed the gun I've not had 1 negative reaction. I agree with you, it's all about how you present yourself.
