I don't think it's that bad. Knoxville was way worse in the early 90's. But he's right, there are parts of the town you would want to avoid. Last year Knox News published an interactive map that showed all the murders for 2017. Nearly all were confined to one part of town. I think this applies to any medium to big city though. It's kinda sad that nearly every MLK blvd in any US City is going to be an area that you want to lock your doors.

That's what I was getting at. If you kill a cop, they will use every resource at their disposal to catch you. If one of us gets killed, meh. I can't recall the last time someone killed a cop and got away with it other than a KPD officer back in the 90's. I guess if you kill a cop you're really not expecting to live much longer.

Listen to Hogg, point out the flaws in his opinion but don't attack him on a personal level. I wasn't very smart at 18(maybe that hasn't changed), we have to give them a chance to change. I doubt Hogg will ever change his mind but I have no doubt some of these other kids will.

Ya know, we should probably try to show a little understanding for kids who watched their friends get mowed down with an AR. I can't even begin to imagine the hell they went through that day. We may not agree with their stance, but I don't think it's unreasonable for a kid to feel that way after going through something like that. Some people on the right appear to lack even the slightest bit of sympathy for them. Death threats, name calling, personal attacks towards Hogg only makes us look like assholes. We have to remember it is possible for people to change their mind as shown in my link below. One could argue Hogg would never join our cause and you may be right.
