  1. A friend of mine had an interesting suggestion. Let folks choose whether or not they want the vaccine. Don't force them. But if someone chooses not to get the vaccine then they lose their right to get medical treatment should they need it. Or at minimum, be put at the bottom of the list for a ventilator. Right now there are only 5 ICU beds available in the Knoxville area. I realize this idea would never happen but seemed reasonable to me.
  2. This thread has made me realize how boring my collection is. I guess I'd have to pick my Glock 19 as boring as it is. It's one of the first handguns I purchased and has kept my wife and I safe for over 10 years now. I've carried it in at least 18 states too. Fun fact, I actually purchased this Glock while walking around a gun show with @Garufa and @Oh Shoot. I believe it was at the Expo Center in early 2010.
  3. I just don't understand how so many can say this is happening naturally and that we don't have at least some hand in it. I'm not denying that Earth has experienced climate changes throughout history but we've gone from 3.7B to 7.8B people in just the past 50 years. There is no way that hasn't had a negative impact. I guess we'll find out one way or another.
  4. I don't leave a shell chambered in mine for the exact reason you mention.
  5. I gotta say, I'm really not loving the Bronco. When pics were first released last year I thought it looked neat but now that I've seen a few in person....meh.
  6. I caught this too and was waiting for your response. I know you secretly love Pelosi though.
  7. I don't understand how McDonald's is still in business.
  8. Welcome from Knoxville as well!
  9. Are you....attemping to make this about Biden? (whom I didn't vote for) If we have another state quarantine(which I really doubt) I guess I will be to blame since I voted for Lee. Your comment didn't make any sense.
  10. If only there was some way we could have avoided this....
  11. That guy is actually a comedian, not a flight attendant, but it's still hilarious.
  12. Who was it here that said these are the good times? There has to be some truth to that. I read some comments from a climate scientist a few years ago that really stuck with me. He had a very grim outlook for the world. The gist of it was that even if countries like China and the US make major strides to cut down on carbon emissions it won't matter a lot because there are so many developing countries that will use more resources in the future as their standard of living improves. I'll probably die before things get a lot worse but I feel bad for the next few generations.
  13. I've long since given up on expecting my employers to be righteous. The corporation I work for met or beat most of our financial goals for 2020 and they still decided to lay off a bunch of people earlier this year, just because. I'm not surprised to hear companies are doing this.
  14. I thought folks here were all about businesses being able to make their own decisions? You can't have it both ways. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masterpiece_Cakeshop_v._Colorado_Civil_Rights_Commission#Opinion_of_the_Court
  15. This or an angry employee. Only initially. I was actually going to mention their product. My wife had great success and they were a fraction of the cost of normal braces and also don't have all the headache/embarrassment that comes with those.
  16. Give it a few more hours. When I got mine it felt like I took a punch from Mike Tyson in my arm. And I wish I could blame brain fog on the vaccine.
  17. Damn you. I knew not to click but I second guessed myself and did it anyways.
  18. I like this a lot.
  19. Oh I really wasn't joking.
  20. This made me laugh. I told my wife they are probably worried too many Republican voters might die if they don't do something. Can't lose another election.
  21. Not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing there @RED333
  22. Ya'll need to go down to your local CBD shop and buy something to take care of that insomnia. Through some strange loophole, they can now sell Delta 8 in Tennessee. No idea how it's legal.
  23. Yes but the sign has to meet specific criteria. I'd guess that of all the places I see attempting to ban guns only about half get it right.
  24. It looks like it hit a kitchen cabinet. It's typically hard to replace just one cabinet and find a match. This is going to be a very expensive mistake for that guy. At our last house, my neighbor came home one day and found a hole in her window and a bullet laying on her kitchen floor. Scary stuff.
  25. I agree but I'm pleasantly surprised the good guy hasn't been charged since I think it's really difficult to get a carry permit there from what I've read.
