  1. An officer who uses it as a blank check will lose his credibility with his judges and his department quickly.
  2. We call it "probable cause," and yes I will tell them what I smell or see. I would never search a car based on someone holding a handgun permit, and I don't believe that would be a legal search. What else did your friend have in his car? What were the circumstances surrounding the stop?
  3. I feel like I've gone to the promised land every time I go East of Memphis. My favorite post title ever was the recent post about "Where to shoot an AK in Memphis." Can you hear automatic weapons in Nashville every night?
  4. I have no complaints about the 47d's or the kimber tacmags.
  5. I got mine 9 years ago. I feel weird NOT carrying, now.
  6. Hey I'm still smiling! I love the automatic DNR comment. I also love Mars comment...
  7. Thank-you for that word definition, you are such a pal. I spent 7 years with the largest dept in Tennessee and we were required to wear our seatbelts.
  8. Don't wear your seatbelt then, it gives me something to do!
  9. I agree thirds, I guess I think that you should not have to be told not to do something stupid!
  10. Gutterboy, I don't believe that you hurt only yourself. You hurt your family when you don't ever come home again. You become a drain on your family and the government when you are breathing, eating, and urinating through a tube. Paul
  11. Why would you not want to wear your seatbelt? Mine saved my life April 22nd 2001, and I have seen the effects of not wearing a seatbelt. I have stopped many drivers for seatbelt violations and cited a few.
  12. I always use WWB, no problems yet.
  13. Hey Punisher, Will you buy me an EOtech?????????????
  14. I just wanted to add that SOG has great customer service. I sent them a knife with a broken clip and got back a brand new knife. Paul
  15. I would LOVE to see him do this, actually I would love to make a bet on his ability. I bet he was a Delta, Seal, Ranger, Force Recon, PJ, sniper!
  16. I agree with you rightwinger. I don't know why someone would even worry about whether an officer is on-duty while serving papers, and then talk about his no-trespassing signs. Did the deputy have his hat on?
  17. Um, did you think he was doing it on his day off for fun?
  18. Before you guys feel sorry for this guy, you should go to glocktalk and read his post in the "coptalk" section. In this post he is seeking info on if he can sue the SHERIFF'S DEPUTY that served him with the order of protection because he has "no trespassing" signs posted on his property. I lost all sympathy for him at that point and I think other LEO's and many of the members on this board might feel the same.
  19. (Silvia Carrillo, whose daughter is a sophomore at Roosevelt High, said the shooting did not seem justified. "My son and my brother went to school here too, and nothing like this ever happened. I think this wasn't enough for him to kill the kid," she said.) I'm glad Silvia was there to give us her very important opinion based on her superb grasp of the law.
  20. I like wilsons and the kimber tac mags.
  21. 160 out of those 409 murders were in Memphis. I'm very proud!
  22. These types of people are already armed in state parks, we just want the good guys to have a chance to defend themselves. IF you are a ranger, I don't understand your opposition to the bill. From a law-enforcement perspective, I WANT the good guys to be armed. My chief even does CCW classes. Paul
  23. Welcome from right outside of Memphis.
