  1. By their reasoning, if I put my glock under a towel, it is an AOW.
  2. Yea, I don't think it makes a lot of sense either. I really would not see the sense in paying 200 dollars to own a wallet pistol.
  3. http://www.naaminis.com/faqgeneral.html That is the link to the NAA website that explains it's classification as an AOW. The ATF site is running very slow, when I get it to work I will cite the ruling.
  4. The type of wallet holster that is illegal, is the one where you can fire the weapon without removing it from the holster. Plain old wallet/ pocket holsters are fine.
  5. Mine is a Beltman with the 7 holes. It is much more adjustable for a better fit than the traditional 5 hole belts.
  6. I wish it was amazing, it's really pretty boring most of the time.
  7. The best answer is, DON'T SPEED! That way neither one of us has to think about this little problem.
  8. Cuz we are at work while you are at home on Sunday!
  9. The passenger in the case presented will almost never come into play. I can't see any reason why your name would even come up. An unloaded gun, out of your reach, ammo separate, is not anything I would worry about.
  10. It looks like the two felony charges, perjury and assault, were dropped. I can't find any new info on the misdemeanor weapons charge.
  11. I need to find an update. They have dropped several of the original charges. I cannot believe they are trying to challenge LEOSA. I guess some DA is trying to make a name for himself. I think the officer made some poor decisions to get to this point, but I was not there and I hate to Monday-morning quarterback.
  12. http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=916472 http://www.rapidcityjournal.com/articles/2008/08/29/news/local/doc48b784e086e0d898298826.txt I started this in response to Fallguy's questions in another thread. Interesting case in South Dakota.
  13. There was an incident with a Police officer from Washington state who, during the Sturgis bike rally, used his weapon in self-defense and shot a hell's angel. The DA in South Dakota is challenging the legality of LEOSA, claiming it was never implemented on the Federal level, and has charged the officer with unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon. I will find more and post it.
  14. I meant as far as liability is concerned. There is an interesting test going on with LEOSA(HR 218) in South Dakota right now.
  15. It varies by department. If I am in my city than I am on duty. If I am in Memphis, I am a HCP holder.
  16. I agree with the people that have posted that the law needs to be changed. The problem I have is with the few people on here that bring their personal vendetta against the police into the discussion with off topic posts stating that LEOs don't take care of their weapons and speed everywhere. I don't lump all HCP holders into one group just because of the unsavory ones I have dealt with. Also, I don't go off duty when I eat. This varies by officer and dept. Can't we all just get along.
  17. Yeah, you are not supposed to know about database Tango Mike India. We are trying to keep it safe so we can use it to oppress. You don't know about our new aircraft enforcement plan do you?
