Welcome to TGO.   My suggestion would always be to go to your Local Gun Store and get a feel for the pistol that fits best in your hand, and also what 'points' most naturally for you.  I wouldn't like to be shot by anything, but I'd stick with a .380 caliber and above (ie. 9mm, 40 s&w, 45acp etc.)  A budget range will also help you narrow down your pistol choices.  (revolver, semi-autos)

I run both charging handle (mod 4) and grip on all three of my AR rifles.  For the grip it is good, as long as you can get used to the steep angle, more for CQB like the magpul (MOE k-2).   Charging handle is solid. All BCM components have run flawless for me.

the 'best' is very subjective.  But  I do agree, 'olympus' doesn't make the best AR.... one heck of a digital camera, but not a good AR at all. :)

I got an answer to my question.  I hesitate to say she still didn't answer why she didn't actually sign the letter sent to BHO on January 23rd supporting and declaring our 2nd Amendment stance and rights, but it is a positive response to me.   Response:     Thank you for contacting me regarding our 2ndamendment rights and, more specifically, a letter sent to President Obama by my colleague, Rep. Dan Benishek(R-MI) on January 23, 2013.   First, let me be clear in stating that I am strongly opposed to President Obama's executive orders on gun control, Senator Dianne Feinstein's proposed ban on so-called "assault weapons" and any other legislation that would infringe upon our fundamental right to keep and bear arms.   As a handgun carry permit holder and a lifetime member of the NRA, I believe that our 2ndAmendment rights must be protected. The discussion on gun control by the President, the mainstream media and some of my colleagues in Congresswill only treat the symptoms of our country's gun violence crisis,doing little to address the root cause behind how these incidents occur. Furthermore, they operate on the completely misguided premise that criminals will obey gun laws.   I can understand how my name being absent from this letter may give the false impression that I am complicit with the President's decisions but I want to assure you that, as I explained in a recent interviewwith a local media outlet, I do not believe in anykind of additional gun control.   Ultimately, I believe that President Obama has made up his mind to overstep his authority and initiate a backdoor power grab to subvert the 2ndamendment.
