    Snake guns

7mm mag will throw a big Eastern Diamondback shot at end if barrel about 15-20 feet straight up. Flailing about, one may think "oh poop, what if his head's still functional? He may land on me! I better run like a girl real fast!" It's a most effective snake killer though. Just not very easy to holster and carry all day
  2. In case no one has heard: Lacquer Thinner is the thing to use. Haha Seriously i just used it for the 1st time. It is mo betta fo sho!
  3. By God my dad smoked em. He had one here and there after he quit smoking cigarettes after they found his cancer. Just occasionally when he was relaxing or coming off chemo. After surgery and chemo they told him it was back and it was terminal and he probably had 3 months or so. i was in there when the doctor said "well I think at this point in time it's reasonable to say you can have all the milkshakes, donuts, and smoke as many good cigars as you want." And he definitely followed the doctor's orders. He smoked many kinds and pricier ones too but he actually liked Victor Sinclair 55's Maduro factory 2nds the best. They were cheap too. Which was good because I ordered about 6 boxes a month for him every month for the next year. He told people what his doctor said and that they ought to go to his doctor, lol. My nephew, brother-in-law, and I still smoke one of them every holiday. I don't know crap about cigars and I ain't a smoker but I like those.
  4. Been eating green beans for a month. Corns about ready. Dug another 5 gallon bucket of potatoes this evening. Vine borers killed 2 squash plants while we were gone to FL over the weekend, bastards. Still got several more but my brother raided them while I was gone too, bastard, lol. Zuchinni was mislabeled. I ain't sure wth kind it is but it ain't black beauty and it grows funky shaped striped crap. Thinking bout snatching at least some of it out and replanting something else tomorrow when I replant some more yellow squash. Sweet potato foliage is going crazy. Peppers look like a fail, cept for cayenne's. the few cucumbers i planted are coming in. Not really a cucumber fan. Cut about and already ate half the broccoli. Got a bucket full of onions. Okra is about 3" tall (it replaced the onions.) Winter squash is coming up as is our halloween punkins. What else... Oh yeah... Tomatoes are just green. Waitin', waitin'...And I have about 20 more rooted off of suckers. Gonna try grafting a couple of heirlooms onto some hybrids as an experiment and plant a few for some later ones. Blueberries need picking tomorrow. And I gotta get the rest of the potatoes out to plant peas. I think the rains been just right this year. Every week but one we got a good rain. My water tank hasn't been used cept for washing my hands. Last year we emptied it the week after the 4th. 550gal and it didnt ever fill all the way back up
  5. If I had aluminum I'd try using them for carpenter bees. Would save brass for real loads
  6. ...I wonder how absolute this is with powder coated? (At least in handgun velocities)
  7. You mean his new shed for all your stuff? lol.
  8. I'm in FL at my wife's grandparent's place and can shoot all I want. But man it has rained almost non stop since we got here. I can shoot handgun from under the tractor shed but I have a couple of rifle loads I need to shoot and I can't get out. Plus I made some steel targets I'm dying to shoot. Every time I start to get my stuff out it rains again.
  9. Just shot 300rds of 9mm and 200rds of .38 Special pc'd. No leading at all. I was having some issue in the 9mm but no more. Tomorrow going to empty some .3O Carbine so I can carry them home and reload them with powder coated.
  10. Good to know I can do that. I emailed them to see if i could just stop in and didn't get a reply.
  11. Funny. Haven't thought of that in a long time... Lookin' at the picture made me want to play checkers, lol.
  12. I'm not him but I was there like Wed and looked right at them and I sure thought those were $11.99 but there, although fuzzy when zoomed in, it looks like $12.99 to me.
  13. The husband took it better than me. He was "speechless". I could imagine myself possibly being a little more vocal while politely describing how they might oughta shut the ol vcr off and head on out and arrest this guy before I find him. It pisses me off watching the video of someone i don't know. I can't imagine the rage I would be in if it was my wife, niece, sister, mom, etc. Oh and I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been twisted yet to be the (what appears to me to be) white womans fault somehow. Where's the calls for justice and accusations of racism. The vigils, petitions, and press conferences? Comments from the guy living in the white house? I expect more from the media and govt.
  14. Wish the Titans would pick him up. He could probably play a full season before he goes to trial.
  15. I'll be on the lookout. should be easy to spot em. dem thugz gon hafta b up n da line at academy 2 buyz ammoz on Mon, Wed, an Friday.
  16. Research wastes a lot of money. How can anything be accurate? The facts will be all skewed and/or ignored or inflated in the end to suit an agenda. Which in the current state will be to screw us. A better use of our tax money would be putting the $10M up a pigs butt and hollering sooie.
  17. I'm done with these jackasses. I think I'm gonna make a form letter for myself to send out daily that says: "Dear <insert senator>, I appreciate you taking the time to have an automated email system. I can't wait for your prompt, exhilirating, response. i believe it should be obvious by now that myself and the rest of Tennessee's stance on the issue is completely opposite of how you will vote concerning whatever legislation is coming up... and F you. God Bless America"
  18. 9mm. Black look purty. Red are ugly but after I resized the sides were slick and just the tips are bumpy. Ima shoot em like they are.
  19. Had ours broken into at our old house. Broke my wife's window prying on it i guess. Didn't get anything either. Jackwagons didn't were kind enough to leave $3000 in fishfinders sitting on my seat. I pulled them off when I ran into the grocery store the night before and they just didn't take them, morons. The neighbor down the road chased them when he walked out on them but the guy ran faster than his old azz, lol. Ironically it was a Sunday morning and I was fishing every Sat and Sunday morning at that time. That one particular morning I had decided to go to church b/c my niece was getting baptised. (The only time I've been in maybe 10 years) Had I not and I had been just going fishing like always , I would've walked out very close to the time they were on their crime spree. Guess It ws divine intervention for them, me, or both of us.
  20. I'd talk to the neighbors and get them to come shoot. the way I see it If they know about it no one will ever call in complaining and you will never have a problem. Ya know life would be so much easier if supressors didn't have that dang stupid tax.
  21. I sent corker a message that said "I have heard no one in Tennessee that supports any amnesty bill, and with your participation in getting it through hopefully no one else will support you. Tennessee SB471 and HB0415 could make our Senators think a little when they just go out on their own, disregarding the citizen's of Tennessee's views.
  22. Dipping coats them too thick. A better way than dipping is to heat the object and take a paint brush, dip it in the powder and tap powder on without touching the brush to the object (like youre tapping off cigarette ashes) it works really well with fishing lures. Not so good with boolits, I tried. hard to get them consistent cause they're hard to hold.. And it's slow. Dolomite's way is good.
  23. I bet the pilot has been wanting to do that for years.
  24. I think technically it's the same. Could be finer or not as fine or something like that. Some guys on tackleunderground say it doesn't work as good, some say it's better. You know how that is... Of course HF only sells matte black, red, yellow, and white. I like pro tec on jigs cause it comes in brown, green pumpkin and stuff like that. It's expensive but a small jar will actually do a ton of jigs. If you're doing that many you ought to be buying elsewhere anyway. When I figger this out I think HF paint will be fine. I believe I just ain't got it yet.
  25. I sent CSCoatings an email and they replied back right away that Protec Powder Paint is a Polyester TGIC powder. It's the same (or virtually the same) as powder by the pound sells. I'd say it just costs more because of smaller packaging and marketing. But it is locally available. Do you think the problem we have with the red is just not enough acetone? My red just wouldn't mix with the acetone at all. It just was a glob and would stick to one or two book its and the rest wouln't get any of the coating on them.
