  1. Thanks for the pictures!! I have always wanted to go up there and see it!! Looks like I'm definately missing out!!
  2. I'm trying to find a stripped upper for a build that I'm doing but I can find any anywhere and nobody has any idea of when they will get some back in!! I started with some of the higher end company's and now I'm just trying to find an upper anywhere...If anybody knows of where some are in stock I would greatly appreciate the heads up!!
  3. I think this is just going to be another strike against guns...I'm not going to spout my views but just think about it...if the statistic was that 1 in every say 10 people carried a gun I'm pretty sure the guy might have rethought about what he was going to do...but just my .02...
  4. I box all mine in the factory box in the ammo can...that way I can grab and go if I need to and it's all the same caliber...
  5. Well I won't ever shoot anything less than a 55gr bullet but I may see if they have a 1/8" twist dolomite.
  6. I'm building another AR and I'm wanting this to be a somewhat long range rifle(read 500 yds). So I have been looking a different barrells and i think I'm gonna go with the white oak armament SPR barrel with a 1/7" twist...i will be feeding this rifle 77gr SMK and 69gr bullets and maybe some others to see just what it likes...so what's your guys opinion? Should i go with the 18 or 20" barrel? Also is it plausible to get out to 6-700 yards with an 18 or 20" AR?
  7. Thanks for the replies guys...if you don't mind me asking what was the price on the Leupold?
  8. I'm looking at buying a nikon M223 4-16X42 for a long range AR I'm building but I have a dilema. I HATE the BDC reticles because they never match up like they're supposed to and I will be shooting 69 and 77gr bullets which don't match that reticle and I don't like the turret that is dialed in for the 55 gr bullet out to 600 yards. So what I wondering is if any of you guys know if I can get the scope with the standard reticle and standard turret so I can just make my own adjustments. Also if anybody has a scope suggestion that is like the nikon let me know I'm just looking to get out to about 500-600 yards and want the exposed tactical turrets.
  9. I would want a .22 and my 18" spr AR...for those "longer rangers"...and of course the other pleasures that others have noted. and lots of ammo....
  10. I would be all for this. I am a Paramedic and work in some sketchy parts of town. As I'm sitting here at work right now we just had two stabbed in my zone and the suspect is still on the loose...so yes I would love to be able to carry. I just think there needs to be some rules for retards that don't know their butt from a hole in the ground....
  11. That's a tough situation...I like to think I would do number 3 and hope that he stops when I pull my firearm on him but in this situation he didn't...So I will just stick with 1, then 4, then if he stops and leaves before P.O.'s arrive on scene since I am an EMT I will do my best to do whatever I can for her til further assistance arrives.
  12. I think it looks hillarious!! I will definately be going to see this..
  13. I seen this one as well!! I about spit water all over the screen when he told him the price for the gun!! I don't know why they would even put crap like this on TV? I met the older man once when I was out visiting my in-laws...he said he used to truck in bristol and he was a genuinely nice guy! But I don't think I could even be on the same gun range as Rich Wyatt...now his daughter and wife on the other hand!!
  14. Your right dolomite that was the best thing about the show!! Lol
  15. I watched the episode last night just now and i about died! Rich was telling a guy that to take his old wood stock 870 and turn it into a "home defense" weapon it would cost him 1700!!! What the hell?? He could buy a freakin Wilson combat for that price brand new!! Then when the guy tries to trade in his .300 win mag he offers him $200!! It was a pro hunter with custom break, trigger job and an optic!! If people are seriously paying these kinds of orices for this crap they need to have their heads examined!!! Now I'm done with my rant!

    Irony Alert

    That's awesome!!
  18. It's just one more step in the wrong direction we've been heading for many years!! Better start burying the guns now!!
  19. Well I have been wanting to just tinker around with some camo and see what I could make and this is my first experiment! I really like the way it turned out. I was going for a woodland tiger stripe pattern and I am very happy with it. I think next time I'm just going to make my lines smaller. What do you guys think?

  21. It's down town across from bubba gumps...it sits back in a shopping alley...You can normally smell the shine before you see the store...
  22. Thanks I got to look at one at my local shop and I'm pretty sure I'm going to purchase one!!
  23. I would make him give me a brand new suppressor!! I wouldn't want seconds that he played with before I got to!!
  24. I think that looks AWESOME!! good work!!
  25. I'm looking to put an optic on my 20" ar and I am really liking this optic...the only thing I'm wondering about is the top turret. I'm not wanting one with a certain drop compensation built in I just want it with a regular turret that I can find my dope for my particular round. So my question is does anybody have this scope? If so what is the top turret? in most of the picutures it looks like a regular turret but in ONE picture it looks like there is a ballistic turret on there for 55gr bullets which isn't what I'm wanting. Any info you guys can give me I appreciate it! I just really like the reticle on this optic. http://www.nikonhunting.com/products/riflescopes/m-223/1-4x20_Point_Blank/8485
