1. What do they have against you david? I wish you were able to come!!
2. I will be there. Hope to pick up some reloading stuff!! There wasn't anything at the gray show a few weeks ago...
3. I somehow lucked up and got a PSA lower from an individual the day before the shooting. I was waiting on him to say he was just going to keep it and refund my money but I picked it up from my FFL yesterday...
4. All this stuff happening is what made my mind up on a suppressor. After I get my SDN-6 paperwork back I'm sure I'll be putting in another form 4 for a .22 can!! If they want something being on one more list isn't going to help them find you any easier...
5. This makes me happy as long as they don't try to go after the ammo too! I havr a good amount of mags but I'm building a 300 blk and this crap hit right in the niddle of it. Luckily i was about 2 days before the panic buying!! :D
6. I have an hbar with a 22 conversion and it loves mini mag hp and federal bulk hp. Just makw sure to get copper washed or plated to reduce lead fowling and always run some .223 afterwards
7. I'm up for writing a story...I'll get to it soon if this is still ok...
8. I have been thinking about this all day!! I read something earlier about a blowhard psychologist that said all 2nd amendmen supporters were fooled into believing we had a say so in this country and we don't really know what marshall law is and there would be hundreds of thousands of lives lost because of our "foolish" beliefs. I hope and pray that our fellow americans in LE and mil would not open fire on their own citizens!! We don't need another civil war!!
9. I know what they are but aren't these cartridges supposed to have them and not be able to take a primer til the crimp is removed? I'm asking why these cases are taking a primer without me doing anything to them besides tumbling, resizing, and decrimping
10. I have started processing a lot of .223 brass that I've collected over the years to reload and thought that these had primer crimps but primers went in without much force at all. Only one headstamped case didn't go in(the one in the middle on the far right). What's up with these cases??
11. Thanks guys!! It's just my first time doing it this way so I was just double checking. I told the guy I would go ahead and ship it to him...
12. Have any of you guys shipped to another individual in the state? I have a guy that's wanting to buy a stripped 10/22 receiver that I have for sale but he lives in Memphis and is wanting me to ship it directly to him because he says his FFL charges him an extra $35. First I have heard this is legal but have you guys done this and would you reccomend to do this? He says he will send me pics of his DL and his HCP.
13. I don't reload 30-06 as I hardly ever shoot it. But I also don't reload shotgun, 9mm, or 45(yet)...
14. That's awesome!! lol. It should be you'll blow your head off!!
15. I love the blade on the prototype and the black one in the picture above it! What is that knife??
16. Well I finally got out so shoot some of my first handloads and I just wanna make sure that I am measuring my groups right to get my MOA. All groups were shot at 100yds. This was shot with my 7mm Rem Mag. From my measurements and math I'm getting a group size of .653 (.937-.284 bullet size=.653) I got my size directly off my box of Sierra bullets. and this is factory ammo that was shot from my T/C Venture in .223. which I came up with a group size of .375.(.599-.224=.375) I'm pretty happy with my first handloads(accurate, no over pressure signs, and they didn't blow up in my face ) and my dad finally believes me about handloading brings out the best in every rifle. What do you guys think?
17. I misread...My apologies! This is why I have been reading case studies and TN laws
18. I have been reading some of TN's laws and found this. (a) A person in lawful possession of real or personal property is justified in threatening or using force against another, when and to the degree it is reasonably believed the force is immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the other's trespass on the land or unlawful interference with the property. ( A person who has been unlawfully dispossessed of real or personal property is justified in threatening or using force against the other, when and to the degree it is reasonably believed the force is immediately necessary to reenter the land or recover the property, if the person threatens or uses the force immediately or in fresh pursuit after the dispossession: (1) The person reasonably believes the other had no claim of right when the other dispossessed the person; and (2) The other accomplished the dispossession by threatening or using force against the person. © Unless a person is justified in using deadly force as otherwise provided by law, a person is not justified in using deadly force to prevent or terminate the other's trespass on real estate or unlawful interference with personal property. [Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1; 2009, ch. 194, § 1.] [s]Now while this says you may use force it doesn't say deadly force. So what is everyone's thoughts on this?[/s] Misread. Dolomite clarified it for me. 19. The OP has a recurve. So shooting wood arrows will be ok for him. The rule is 8-9 grains per pound is the minimum, but with recurves there's not as much of a power stroke so you have to shoot heavier arrows to get good penetration and shoot a VERY sharp cut on contact broadhead. There is tons of information on the interweb for recurves but I'm just giving my opinion and what has worked for me. When I shoot recurves I shoot heavy arrows with a heavy head up front. To get very accurate you have to "tune" your arrow to your bow. As far as taking game I have killed hogs(250 lb) with a 45 lb recurve BUT I was shooting a heavy arrow with a magnus stinger that is crazy sharp! I have always shot aluminum due to the heavy grains per inch that I can get out of them. But they also make some heavy carbon now that you might be interested in shooting OP. You will also get your quitness from a heavier arrow as it will absorb some of the sound vibration. if your just wanting something to play around with in the back yard any arrow will work but once you feel comfortable with it and want to improve your accuracy start looking at tuning your arrows. If you have any questions you can PM me and I'll be more than happy to help you out as much as I can. Shooting recurves will become another hobby that gets addicting!! And once you harvest your first animal with it you will be addicted! Especially when you hit an old tree rat!!
20. Welcome to the site from a fellow JC resident!
21. PSA is a top notch company!! As soon as they get a dissipator upper back in stock I will own one!! I have two complete PSA rifles, and 3 stripped lowers with LPKs coming for them!! I'm addicted to PSA stuff!!
22. I'm not too worried...I wipe all my guns down just because I don't like seeing fingerprints on mine lol...just my OCD kicking in!
