If I'm around my apartment and it's 83 degrees inside (air conditioning is for sissies) and I have to go get gas or check the mail I'm not going to put on another layer so some soccer mom doesn't freak out for the 5 seconds I'm not in my truck. I'm not going to go out of my way to be uncomfortable so somebody can remain clueless. I don't open carry a lot but I don't think it is a bad thing. I wish it was acceptable to open carry so people would see that not just crooks and cops have guns... That being said, I do understand the benefit of blending in.

You assume everyone will have a negative reaction to seeing someone carrying a gun. Not everyone is going to freak out, if they notice they'll stare but plenty of people will ask you about it. If you can't explain yourself and the applicable laws clearly you probably shouldn't carry, openly or concealed. Even if you are carrying concealed someone watching you long enough will notice, unless it's deep concealed or in a purse/backpack. I mostly conceal but around my apartment complex or just going to get some gas or something I'll open carry; but usually only when I'm in or around my truck, not in stores or large groups.

Predator is a great shop. I haven't had them work on any of my guns, but I've been in there with my room mate a few times and they were very helpful.

Crossbreed Holsters. If you needed it yesterday, that won't help much. But it is a good holster and mine was worth the wait if you can get by with a cheapy or just tucking it in the waist band and tightening the belt a notch too tight while you wait.

If you have land and a friend that is a worse shot then you buy a clay thrower for around $10 and go have fun. If you don't have land find a skeet/trap range and they probably offer a beginners/safety class. Good luck, it's fun.

I like the older one better, the grip looks kind of awkward. And the guide rod is different, look at it. In the picture it is a solid rod, the current XDs when pulled back have a "plunger" look.

Having been at the past gun show in Knoxville and helping Frank out with his booth. He has talked to all of the Friends of the NRA people that do raffles. And I am more then willing to bet that he has all of his bases covered and I think that if he sat down with Tungsten's lawyer and explained it, like he does to people that stop by his booth or shop, he would convince him too.

I'm not too big into music, so the regular radio is fine for me. But we had XM at work and it was pretty nice.
