  1. You can carry in a National Park, but you can not carry inside of any federal building in that park.
  2. Welcome
  3. The legislature is in recess until February. Laws just don't all of sudden go into effect. 99.9% of laws passed in TN go into effect on July 1 of the year they are passed a very few on January 1 of the next year. Hardly any go into effect the moment they are signed. It is amazing how many times I have heard someone say they have heard a law just passed when the legislature has already reaccessed for the year sometimes.
  4. No problem...like to help when I can.
  5. AFAIK even with the rule change it is still illegal to carry inside a federal building, even within a National Park. From handgunlaw.us Off Limits page
  6. Welcome
  7. Not to my knowledge. For $15 you can get a CD from the ATF of every FFL in the nation. Or you get a list in a specific zip code for free by writing them. Details here Not really what you were looking for I know.
  8. Not sure about dealers, but you can see TICS checks here
  9. Congrats...

  12. Not that the incoming administration isn't worth watching closely....but I sure wish I had stock in tinfoil since the election....
  13. Nope I was thinking of aldultery and I was thinking as recent as 10 years ago, but it is moot now I guess.

  15. Was watching it live via streaming video on the internet. At first was stoo stunned and surprised to be upset...but it set in fairly shortly there after.
  16. Hmmm...well, I thought it was, I know it used to be, but I believe you are right that it is no longer a crime, at least I can't find it. I do agree that if used it can make a difference in the details of the divorce. But Rightwinger is right in that it really doesn't take much to get a divorce these days. No fault divorces are fairly cheap and simple. In some cases that may be a good thing, but not sure if it is the best thing overall.
  17. AFAIK Yes and No. It is not automatic like Child Support, but it can still be asked for and maybe received depending on the situation or agreed to. I knew a guy once that was paying it to his ex. Mainly because he was seeing his current wife before getting divorced so he agreed to pay her alimony so as to not file for divorce on the cause of adultery (which is on the books as a crime in TN BTW) and cause a scene etc..
  18. I'm really waiting to see the committee assignments in the House since that is where the bills have been killed each year. These senate appointments do look fairly good.

  21. In the previous thread I said I carried on my person, even at home. This was mainly because I was not the only person in the house and was the best way to make sure the weapon was secure. My living situation has no changed, so while it may not always be on my person, it is in arms reach. I also carry it whenever I go out the door, even to check the mail. I pocket carry, so pretty easy to just drop it in.
  22. Welcome
  23. I agree... with OS Also...I doubt you are really going to find anything that says it's ok, at least from an "offical source". Sort of like there is now law or paper that says wearing a red shirt is ok, it is simply ok because there is no law against it.
