  1. It definetly would be interesting...
  2. 39-14-205 says that is illegal "to knowingly and unlawfully kill the animal of another without the owner's effective consent." It doesn't matter where the animimal is, their property, public or even your property. When it mentions "property" in sub-part (a)(1)( it means the killing of the animal is dealt with as theft of property. Part ( is the self-defense part where you can kill an animal if you think there is an "imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury to that person or another or an imminent danger of death to an animal owned by that person." When it mentions property it is saying you can't claim self-defense if you (the shooter) are trespassing on the property of the owner of the animal. Now with all that said, if you truly believe these to be strays, it would seem you are not knowingly killing the animal of another though. IMO and IANAL
  3. It's not a bad idea at all. But I'm not sure how many professionals would volunteer their time. But isn't sort of hard to discuss what would or would not go to trial without specifics of an incident? How did y'all meetings go?
  4. My laptop has Vista. If I have the WiFi on it tells me if there any available connections and I can simply choose to connect to one. One thing to remember is some Hot Spots will require you to open a web browser and agree to the Terms of Service before you are fully connected.

  7. I moved it because it seemed you were just asking for directions. I'm sorry, it was not obvious to me, I am not from that area and do not know that Shelby Farms is a publicly owned park or that your intention was to find out if you could legally carry at the Agricenter or not.

  10. No, not all. I more meant that some simply have a higher tolerance for the few that do act that way.
  11. No sir...you are focused on the wrong issue I was addressing. I completely agree that law allows you to carry anywhere you can go [excepted as provided for 39-17-1350©]. I am not talking about whether a LEO or a HCP holder is armed or not. My issue is that being a LEO shouldn't mean you can go anywhere you want to go period though. Private property that is open to the public does not cease to become private property that is controlled by the owner. If I walk into a store the owner can tell me to leave for any reason. If you are there just to buy a coke, not to investigate a crime, not on patrol or anything, why can't he tell you he does not want you in his store either? Just because you are higher class of citizen by being a LEO? As I've said in another thread, I've worked in LE....I guess one reason that I don't still is I just couldn't puff out my chest far enough and act like I was always right and everyone else was always wrong. That I knew I couldn't simply come and go and do as I please, that the law still applies to those that enforce it. If someone becomes an officer simply so they can have privileges that others don't and feel they are above everyone else, they are in it for the wrong reason.

  13. Actually it doesn't say "every entrance" but all entrances "primarily used by persons entering the property" So if there is an entrance to a place that is not normally used by people to enter it, that particular entrance wouldn't have to be posted for the property to still be legally posted.

  15. It seems like some basic questions come up somewhat often over time from new members or those just getting interested in Self-Defense and Carry so I made a thread with some basic info in it. In the future you can refer them to this thread if you like.

Yep...it's looking good. Last night was a real test and they passed. Doubt the can go undefeated the whole season, so that first loss will be tough...but looks very good to win the AFC south right now and maybe even a first round bye if things keep going the way they are. I agree Collins is doing well.....not sure if we'd be in the same place with Young at the helm.
