  1. Welcome
  2. Ok Thanks for the info...
  3. Hmmm....wonder why it doesn't block e-mail from the threads and forums I am subscribed to?
  4. Are you talking about when the permits were issued by the sheriff?
  5. Two threads merged to one.
  6. Thank you!
  7. It will feel like everyone is looking at you and they some how know for a while, but it will get better in time.
  8. They can't trace it back to the orginal purchaser, that is who they can start with. But with no paperwork required for private sales, who knows or can say how many times or to whom a weapon was sold after that? A couple of years ago the invesitgator from the sheriff's dept called me about a handgun I purchased at Wal-Mart about 20 years ago. I actually happened to remember who I sold it to and told him, but who knows where it went from there over that long?
  9. I think some of it may come from theads where I've seen one person answer the OP's question and when that answer wasn't what the OP expected or thought it should be (even on something this clear cut) the OP comes back and challenges the answer and others would back the answer up. Now everyone just keeps backing up the answer until the OP responds back. Of course after that happens...not sure why other's keep posting...lol
  10. No such thing as gun registration in TN. A TN Handgun Carry Permit allows you to carry any handgun(s) you have. The intructor was wrong. I'm curious who he was myself. 39-17-1351(n)(1) Except as provided in subdivision (n)(2), a permit issued pursuant to this section shall be good for four (4) years and shall entitle the permit holder to carry any handgun or handguns that the permit holder legally owns or possesses. The permit holder shall have the permit in the holder's immediate possession at all times when carrying a handgun and shall display the permit on demand of a law enforcement officer
  11. Yes. The below link list all of the documents they will accept. http://www.state.tn.us/safety/driverlicense/dlcitizen.htm
  12. Welcome
  13. I believe you will have to do it for your DL as well.
  14. Got to like Sgt Hulka
  15. Not sure if makes him happy or not, but purposely trying to antagonize him after I asked everyone to move on doesn't make me happy.
  16. Different opinions are always ok on here. At times things someone says will not always be taken the way it was meant. Then when on is taken wrong, they take offense and fire back and so it begins. I think both sides have addressed this enough so let's move on.
  17. If you're gonna get your panties in a bunch everytime someone jokes around, that may just be the best thing then.

    Welcome
  19. It appears that although it says I am subscribed to discussions and the group as whole I am not getting e-mails of new post. Could be something on my end, not sure. But have no problems with e-mails from the main forum. Thanks...
  20. Well not to but I could tell that he was against lobby groups, not necessarly that he didn't have a opinion one way or the other. But I've been accused of being a little myslef.
  21. Welcome
  22. AFAIK only if he was hospitalized for it. There was a recent AG opinion, 08-133, about people with PTSD that said they could still get a HCP while recieving treatment as long as they were not hospitalized. So it would seem that anyone could seek treatment for for any mental health related issue and be disquailifed for a HCP. Just another note, as the law is written now, it would also seem that any hospitalization for a mental health issue is a permanent disqualifer.
