All I can think about is pumpkin chucking and tomorrow there will be plenty of ammo.

I have a New Holland with bucket, forks, and a backhoe and it has been a good machine. Lots of hard working hours and only a few blown hoses over the years. I also have metal over the tire tracks for the wetter times and they work great. Don't get one with foot controls and your knees will thank you for years to come. If you want a little seat time to find out what you like and don't like about one I am building a pond at my place and am always on the lookout for free labor. Bring something to shot while you are on break. I think most have a universal quick attach now as well. Anytime I need one I don't have I just rent it and they all hook up to mine. (to expensive to buy everything)

I got to check one out at the gun store the other day and really like how it felt. Now its on my bucket list. :pleased:

Thinking about going Sunday, Gotta work tomorrow. Are the Murfreesboro shows better or worse than Nashville's?

Found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMZNVApYz1U Larry makes it simple. And this http://www.midwayusa.com/product/190114/caswell-standard-electroless-nickel-plating-kit Anyone have any experience with it?
-
Do you have any experience with the kits? I wonder how hard it is to do and what the end results look like? I sure don't want to make it worse or bigger.
-
I had not thought about the finish wearing through because the rest is in good shape. It feels smooth to the touch (I am not sure how thick nickel plating is though). The color of the center circle is almost exactly the same as the rest of the nickel. Would the unfinished metal under the nickel be this close in color? Also on the topic of repair I plan to keep it as a shooter and that is what I bought it for. Just thinking about a few years down the road if I decide to part with it on the repair or not to repair part. I think if the only way to repair it is to refinish the whole gun it wouldn't help its value. Just hoping for a way to repair the one spot.

I am no expert on gun finishes so I need all the help I can get on this one. What can I do about this spot? It was on the pistol when I bought it and is about the size of the average pinky nail. Also any thoughts on what caused it. The rest of the pistol finish is good condition. Thanks

I saw some for sale at a shop local to me for $549 and thought it was a steal of a deal. Wish Frontier was within driving distance of me I would definitely buy one. I've been looking for one at a good price for sometime now. Thanks for the info,

Tons here to. I see more dead on the road than all other animals combined. I have killed a good 8 or 10 at my place in the last 2 years. They are worse on a yard than moles. I have a pic around here some where of one. Let me find it.

Sounds like creosote to me. Be sure to wear proper clothing ,gloves, and don't wipe the sweat off your face with clothing or gloves after touching them. Your local farmers COOP should sell them. I've bought them from mine.

I (think) you are good with any hollow point or soft point. Since we are off topic a little here can I hunt with my slidefire stock in the locked position?
-
That when I click on the image to enlarge it it is the same size use photo bucket so my old eyes can see the darn pic. Looks like it would be hard to charge without drawing your knife as well?

With a caption like that I'm hoping I can't see anything and not looking either. :ugh:

What Do You Hunt With Your Ruger MK lll Hunter? Show & Tell!
swim615 replied to Sidewinder's topic in Handguns
I really enjoy going squirrel hunting with my (Mark III Target). I am still on the look out for a hunter at a reasonable price, if there is such a thing anymore? I'm not a very good shot but I get lots of practice being patient and quiet. I took a few squirrels last year and here is a pic I posted before but seems relevant to the topic at hand. I haven't had time to hit the woods this fall but am looking forward to it as soon as work slows down. To answer some more of your questions. It is much more accurate than me but I am more accurate with it than any of my other pistols. It did put meat on the table as well. -
Is that a Glock in the middle pic? Nice pics, very nice shooting.

Really thinking about it. I haven't been to a show in about a year, even a bad one. I would really like the scratch an itch I have for a AK, but man the prices on them are through the roof. May go tomorrow while its raining. Nothing better to do.

Stumbled up on these two nine pointers at work today. I hate to see them end up this way. Best I can figure they got tangled up sparing near this pond and must have fell in and drowned.
-
Dang it I'm in to late as usual. Don't any of you people have jobs?
-
I'm going to go with FLIP THE SWITCH. Did I win a prize? Congrats

Hunted lots when I was a kid with my dad. Haven't been in years but I can still spot it when I go hunting for small game in the fall. I had no Idea there was a season or regulations? How much is it bringing an ounce these days? I may have to hit the woods.

What is the best hunting/fishing product you own?
swim615 replied to Wiljo05's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
For fishing it has to be a cast net. I catch more fish on live minnows than any other bait and they are free. If I run out all I have to do is find the nearest ripple, look for their sides glimmering in the sun, and I am right back into the fishing again. AH GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES :)
