  1. My dad gave me some clippings about five years ago of some thornless blackberry bushes he had. I just stuck them in the ground and they took root. I now have enough plants that we get several gallons of berries per year. They are big about the size of your thumb above the first joint and very good. They spread and get a little bigger each year. I wish I knew what kind they are and could be of more help, but I do think they are a good idea and the kids love to eat them right off the vine (me to).   Not much work for ours to do well. Some seven dust to kill the japanese beetles starting about the first of June. Watering only in severe droughts like last year. Then some mesh netting when they are getting ripe to keep the birds out.   To bad you are so far away or I could start you out with a few clippings from ours.
  2. Here is a link to part 2 .   http://www.newschannel5.com/story/20963102/test-shows-barrett-50-cal-slicing-through-steel
  3. I have this one http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Diana_RWS_350_Magnum_Striker_Combo_22_TO6/2530 I went partly with the .22 to stay subsonic, but the spring noise is still loader than I would like. As Threeeighty said it has quite a recoil as well, and it is very heavy.   On the plus side for a pellet gun, it is by far the most accurate and well made one I have even seen.   I look forward to your review of yours and how quiet it is.
  4.     Best I can remember Academy Sports and Bass Pro may have their ammo out on the shelves as well.
  5. If he is deer hunting he is a few cubic inches short on the orange as well.
  6. I wonder what the owner/shooter of the Barret would have to gain by doing this story? Seems like if you are into shooting this would be counter productive to your sport.
  7. I would just get my HCP and not have to worry about it.
  8. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Very good read. Thanks for posting it.
  10. Things are lookin up.   I may go ahead and pick up that new Ferrari after all this year.
  11. I am thinking it is the supply and demand thing.   It is very hard to find one at Walmart or anywhere right now.
  12. I saw the boys out in the field today getting fired up for Spring.
  13. Great setup. I like the flash suppressor. Is it threaded?   What does a Butler Creek stock like yours cost?   I have been looking at the prices of the original folding wood stocks. I see they are very pricey. Definitely the reason I want to get everyone's opinion on them before I invest in one.
  14. What rifle is yours on?   Is yours one of the older wood ones?   Is the stock tight when shooting with no play in it?   I mostly want one for the cool look but don't want it to be much less accurate than a normal stock.
  15. I have been looking at pictures of the older Rugers and found some with wood folding stocks. Some of them are side folding and some are under folding. I have mostly seen them on the mini 14s but also a few on 10/22s. Anyone got one or ever had one, shot, or other experience with them? I really like the way they look and would like to get one.
  16. I use a old folding sunglasses case when I go hunting. It has a zipper to close it up. Also it being made of leather stops them from rattling around like they do in the box. It holds about 100 rounds. Has worked well for for years. Mine looks just like this only without the cool Michael Jackson logo. Lost the glasses long ago but the case works great and very quiet.

    Glocks

Love the new gen4 19.   The family photo looks great as well.
  18. Welcome aboard.
  19. If you are buying it to enjoy and learn how to build your own it sounds good. You can't go wrong with a DD. Any AR type stuff is hard to get a hold of now.   If you are buying as a investment who knows what will happen. Also factory ARs normally bring more than most builds.
  20. A secret door to a safe or even a safe room would be really nice.   If they can't find it they can't steal it.
  21.     I know how easy CCs and the like are in this day and age, but it really gives control and power to lots who do not need or deserve it as well.   Oh for the good old days where cash was king and we could decide what to do with it.

    New handgun

A G19 will serve you well.
  23. I have no experience with them, but just wanted to say that I love the look of the NIB-X on a Glock.     Seems like it will be money well spent.
  24. Franklin Walmart has 5.56 in stock, or their web site says they do.   I bet it is a little cheaper than FGS as well.   PS I have never seen it go green on walmarts website in Franklin before.    GOOD LUCK   http://www.walmart.com/ip/Federal-Cartridge-5.56mmx45mm-62gr-FMJ-Ball-Clipped-Ammo-Can-420-Rounds/21638833
  25. They have always been very anti gun.
